Very Good
Warm Welcome (Good English). Very good airy room (Ground Floor) - Shared Bathroom (opposite) - No problems.
Metro Station directly opposte - Easy trip from the Airport.
Stairs at entrance - if with heavy luggage.

Wonderful
Rooms are squeaky clean, the location is great to reach everything (right across from the metro), and the breakfast and atmosphere were just phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly and it felt very peaceful.
As it said in the description of the guesthouse, bathrooms are on the floor not in the room - with this, it is worthwhile noting that the bathrooms are cleaned multiple times a day, so they are exceptionally clean.
I did hear cars in front of the house late into the night. Not like an innercity highway, but a steady flow of cars. Nothing you can avoid, and I doubt you get a fully quiet place anywhere in Lisbon.

Customer service is next level. It's like they're running a passion project not a business. Amazing breakfast, 24/7 tea and coffee. Incredible level of courtesy and attention to detail.
Shared bathrooms and kitchen but even that wasn't terrible because I almost never saw anyone else using it.

Centrally located next to Saldanhas station. The staff were super friendly and supported me even after checking out.
Shared bathroom has very basic soap. Would have wanted something a little more refined.

This is a very friendly guesthouse next to the Saldanha station (the red Metro line, also the yellow). We stayed as a 3-person family in the "quadruple room" and were very happy.
The breakfast at this place is great, way more than what you usually get for "continental" breakfast, and with a touch: bread, cheese, ham, fresh cheese(!), seasoned tomata (so you can make a bruschetta), a variety of (fresh) pastries and cookies, yoghurt and seeds, incl own(?) yoghurt with jam, fruit. Juice, coffee. No egg. Coffee is available all day round from the breakfast area.
Bathrooms are shared, but it was no problem. There are sensibly equipped kitchens (with fridges where you can store your food) and lounges where to sit.
(Some people say you can hear noise from corridors and the doors shutting. It did not bother me.)

I really appreciate the hospitality from the staff – I arrived and immediately felt like I had arrived at a friend's house. It was a very comfortable experience, and I will come over again.
Apart from that, the room was very cozy, the hotel has a nice old vibe, like in old movies – really differs from 'the same look modern hotels', so if you appreciate uniqueness – you should choose this hotel. Bathrooms are spacious and clean, breakfast was decent and in comfortbale time. As for the transportation, it was very convenient to get there from the airport. Getting to the center is also ok, the metro and bus stops are literally a few meters from the hotel.
I also like that on every floor there is a small kitchen with everything you need and a huge room to hang out, if you want to have more space. So, as I said, I will come again!
There is no elevator (old vibe hotel!), but the staff helps you with the luggage.

Wonderful
We were very happy with our stay at Chalet D´Ávila Guest House. The staff at reception were terrific. They made us feel welcome, gave us a tour of the facilities, and Hector even supplied several recommendations for local restaurants to try. Our room was clean, spacious, and a corner room with a cross-breeze that supplemented the fan to give us a cool room during a hot weekend. Our floor was quiet, despite there being a late game for the World Cup on of the nights we stayed. We thought the neighborhood was very nice, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. The convenience to the Saldanha metro stop was perfect for our needs, so easy to get to the airport upon checkout.

The building is old and beautiful, the interior decor was very stylish. High ceilings, nice balcony, nice communal rooms, the shared bathrooms were very nice, staff were helpful, the breakfast was top notch!
It was a little loud outside but not too bad. Location was a little further from Lisbon centre than I thought

It is beautiful and very comfy!
It is a bit of a walk to most public transit and a bit further from the center than I expected, but the neighborhood has tons of restaurants and is very nice.
