Great place actually in the center of Lisbon, but you feel like you are definitely not in a big city. The charm of Lisbon's courtyards combined with really nice staff and an excellent tasty breakfast.

Wonderful
Excellent breakfast, helpful staff, very clean, good location even though a little difficult to find each time without google maps. Very close to a nice panoramic view over the River, Cristo Rei statues etc. Room was large, fully equipped bathroom...
Just to be picky, the room is not very well soundproofed. The door and window are very close to the tables from the courtyard, so quite noisy in the morning if you want to keep the window open

The staff were incredibly kind. The room was well done with lots of space and felt like a small home. I loved the concept of the hotel, it was a very relaxing place to be. The breakfast was also delicious.

Poor
We rented the apartment in the building next door on the THIRD FLOOR with no elevator and the stairway was only about 30 inches wide and very steep. Since you were on the third floor it had nice views of Lisbon. The breakfasts were excellent with a good capachino machine and lots of selections. You could also eat outside when it was not raining. The hotel has a good central location. It is not really a hotel. More like a small american motel with small rooms. They could make a weird horror movie here and not have to change a thing. Hear that Hollywood.
You must read this part carefully. We arrived in Lisbon from San Francisco after an 11-hour flight. We were tired and just wanted to lay flat for a little while. Booking promised us a "free ride" service from the Airport to the hotel, but they never showed up at the airport. So we got a Uber taxi and had to pay for that ourselves. First of all the taxi took us to the wrong address (many addresses in Portugal are the same so know where you are going with details). The driver said we had to pay for a second ride to get back to the hotel since the one we gave him was wrong. He "tries" to take us to the right address but you cannot drive to this hotel. It is on a hillside with roads so narrow you cannot drive there and it is at the top of a hill and the streets are blocked from allowing anyone but a local to enter the area. This is all important, since you have to climb up a steep cobbled stoned hillside narrow road yourself with your 40 pound luggage (after a 11 hour plane ride). We were not happy campers. Then you find the hotel down a narrow alley and check in. After check in we then had to go back out to the alley to a building next door where our apartment was located. Our tiny apartment was on the thrid floor. After climbing the hillside up to the hotel, we then had to climb 3 stories of stairs (only 30 inches wide). To say the least we were exhausted. We decided to take a shower and found the shower to be so small that if you dropped the soap in the shower you had to turnoff the shower, step out of the shower to get the soap and then step back in the shower and turn it off again (you could not leave the shower door open or the shower head would flood the bathroom floor). If you love all this, then this is a place for YOU !!!! Good luck.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was a great size and everything was clean and a great working order. The highlight was the breakfast. Oh my goodness.
The only downside would be that only taxis can drop you off at the property. Uber is not the best option as you most likely have to go upstairs.

Very Good
In a pretty quiet location surprisingly which we really enjoyed, the workers are very kind and the breakfast in the morning was so nice!
Our shower wouldn’t drain, not sure why. Also a fair warning that the location is very steep hills with cobblestone streets which makes it hard to carry heavy luggage around, but if you know that going there it’s lovely otherwise.

Very clean, modern, and spacious room, cute exterior and very friendly staff… I had to book a last minute place since my original ended up being terrible, and this helped make my trip enjoyable again

This place was absolutely amazing. The property is quaint and very well kept with a beautiful little outdoor square you can sit in. The breakfast was absolutely incredible with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Any expectation I had going in they totally exceeded. Highly recommend trying one of their loose-leaf teas if you stay there. The staff were so lovely and incredibly knowledgeable about the tourist attractions and best places to go.
Not super close to a metro or public transport stop, super hilly location (That's just Lisbon for ya)

I loved all the quaint details around the out door patio area. The breakfast was the BEST I have had while in Portugal. I loved everything about this hotel.
I wish I would have known before I got uber that ONLY taxis can get closest to the entry.

great staff, clean, comfortable, awesome breakfast
disappointed that most rooms are not in the scenic courtyard but out around the street corner in main alleyway.

The breakfast is served in a small reception room so I wasn't expecting much. I turned out to be a lot with a ton of variety and it was all great. We were able to walk to multiple sights from the location.

Wonderful
Atmosphere in the boutique hotel
There was a local water problem in the neighbourhood
That left the hotel and surrounding neighbourhood with no water for 12 hours.

Good
Room was comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. One staff member recommended a restaurant for our final night and it was NOT SUITABLE - looked like a cafeteria in a basement location. We did not stay.
Purchased 2 transit passes on Sep 29 and one of them did not work on the service to and from Belem. We paid for a taxi to the airport (25 euro) on Sep 30 at 6:45 am and it did not show up. Waited until 7:05 am. Had to pull all our luggage to a main street for an Uber. No refund yet.

Very Good
Let’s start with the good things about Casa do Patio by Shiadu: the staff! Both Sabrina and the other young lady were wonderful. They both were very helpful and went out of their way to assist. The breakfast was also great, with everything fresh and tasty.
This property doesn’t look like the pictures, it feels more like an overpriced old hostel. The room was just okay, with unreliable doors and nothing special overall; it’s more like a roadside motel than a boutique stay. The location is decent, but you can definitely find better options for the price. And be warned: you can’t access the property by car or Uber, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up steep cobblestone streets for about 15 minutes.
