The rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast had alot of options, and was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and always had a smile.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, fabulous breakfast with fresh pastries and specialty coffee available all day. Great location in Chiado close to all the coolest neighborhoods. Very comfortable rooms with absolutely beautiful view of Lisbon. The true standout here was the staff. In particular the woman who works at the front desk (I forgot to get her name) was kind, warm, professional, and incredibly helpful, even walking with us to our taxi for the airport when we were having trouble. She truly made the stay exceptional (although coffee on the balcony with the best view in Lisbon also didn’t hurt).

Casa Balthazar is stunning! It has old European charm located in central Lisbon down a very charming street! Our view was AMAZING! And having the hot tub on our balcony was special! Stunning views day and night! Close to so much and easy to get an uber just down the street. Breakfast was included and presented beautifully. And Ruth was kind and generous while running the front of house. I would not stay anywhere else!

The room view of old town Lisbon and hot tub made this extra special. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was exceptional.
I could find no faults! Oh, just one - more hooks needed in the bathroom for those large comfy towels.

This place was superb. Many options here in terms of guest houses, hotels all kinds of things, but I love this particular one for its Location right in the center of a safe easy place to get around. You’re not too low from the city that has tons of pills and you’re not too high in the city that has tons of pills so wherever you’re going and exploring, you have options. Breakfast was included for us and it was perfect continental breakfast most European places give you everything was fresh and amazing.
I can’t really say there’s anything I didn’t like. Even our balcony with a Jacuzzi was amazing. They did everything to make us feel special and welcomed. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but I don’t expect that. Honestly, it was very good.

Good location. Quiet despite close to city center
We live in apartment and is very spacious and well equipped with dish washer despite no washing machine
Staff are good and very caring
The water drainage from bath tune and sink is sluggish
Not much changes or variety for the breakfast but the food is high quality

The Spa was free and was very nice. The room was spacious. The breakfast was very nice with a large selection of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses and pastries.
Thought it was miserly to charge 3.5euro for water in an expensive hotel. Should be free of charge and should have water in your room.
Our rooms were up a steep set of outdoor stairs.

From the beginning when I began booking my stay, Teresa and Ruth couldn’t have been more helpful. From recommendations for tours to dinner and everything else - I could not be more pleased. The tuk tuk with Sandra to give us a taste of Lisbon to the day trip with private driver (Ricardo) was spectacular. We had 2 very early days and would miss breakfast but they made arrangements for us to eat early. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Balthazar and all the people there. I doubt I would stay anywhere else on my next trip to Lisbon.
unfortunately we did have ants because of food left out, but Ruth was ON IT. Taken care of as soon as we said anything. Like I said before: excellence.
