A great hotel with excellent staff and a very clean and pleasant room. Restaurant very good and ambience that of a funky hotel with a twist. Location superb for seeing the city, and our Sintra tour pick up was literally outside the front door. Bed excellent.
Given the number of english speaking people, additional TV channels in english could be worth thinking about.

Disappointing
The normal, regular activities went as they should be handled in a 4-star-hotel. Nothing special
In a abnormal situation the hotel protocols are horrible. During the great electricity-fall-out in Portugal/Lissabon, the hotel management was not capable to do the things which were expected: no cash could be dranw at banks etc, but also it was not possible to get some cash to pay your cab and add the cash to the roombill. There was no communication to all the guests of the hotel whether there was the possibility of having dinner. No big visible poster in the lobby with the announcement of the dinner (important because restaurants in the city were closed). Also no message at the individual room about the possibility to have dinner. It was an utterly poor performance of the staff/management in this 4-star-hotel. Knowing that electricity-black-outs are nowadays part of real live, one should not stay in a hotel which has no idea how to handle issues related to a general black-out and I'm afraid in general; which does not have the flexibility to handle special issues.
