The location of the hotel is perfect for the theatre we were visiting. Also works very well if you want to check out Lisbon. Everything is easily accessible.
Feather filled pillows. I am allergic to them and we only noticed when we went to bed. So was too late.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their responsiveness to every request was truly impressive—nothing was too much trouble, and everything was handled with warmth and professionalism. The team was genuinely kind, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. On top of that, the hotel is perfectly located, placing us within easy reach of all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. It was the ideal base for exploring the area. I don't often write with much excitement about the hotels where we have stayed through the last couple of years. But in this case, of Bessahotel Liberdade I must say that this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We simply loved it from the beginning of our stay till the very end. In all aspects this hotel receives from us the highest score. In particular I want to mention the genuine friendliness of the staff, from the reception to room cleaner to the people taking care of the rich and delicious breakfast each morning. We want to thank you and all the staff for making our stay the highlight of our Portugal trip. Now we know we have a place to come back to.
I honestly have nothing to complain about. Everything was excellent!

The main highlight of this hotel is the location since it is in Lisbon's shopping street. Other than that, everything else is very basic. Room size is standard and the room is quite bare. While the experience is not bad, it did not add any value to our stay in Lisbon.
The staff is this hotel's lowlight. They are cold and not the friendliest. They don't make any efforts to interact with the guests, especially those at the reception even if you pass by them every single time. During our 4-day stat, no one greeted us. Our check out time was very early in the morning because of our flight and we asked for help with our luggages. We called the reception and they said they can't help us because he is just alone. Still, he ended up helping us which we appreciate. While it is not his fault that he is the only staff at that time, this isn't really the kind of service you expect from a 4-star hotel. For the same value, there are better hotel options
