When the transportation strike unexpectedly canceled all of my flights last week, what was supposed to be a short stay in Lisbon turned into four extra days. Fortunately, I booked a three-night stay at The Bessa Hotel, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience.
The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and exactly what I needed during a stressful travel situation. A special thank you to Martim at the front desk, who made my stay truly memorable. From check-in through departure, he consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. He even helped me navigate a minor key card mishap that eventually became something we could laugh about together.
Martim's professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care for guests are a reflection of the outstanding hospitality at The Bessa Hotel. What began as an unexpected extension to my trip ended up being one of the highlights of my time in Lisbon.
My last meal at the Hotel Restaurant was incredible. I had the most incredible interaction with the service staff regarding a hoodie I bought at the market outside that day. The hoodie represented saving the bee population and mental health awareness. I forgot the gentleman's name at the restaurant, but we connected on. so many levels, really putting a nice conclusion on my trip!! The Steak, Salad and Rice were amazing!!
I will absolutely be staying at The Bessa Hotel on my next visit to Lisbon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service and a wonderful guest experience.

Excellent stay! My room was spacious, spotless, and very quiet. I appreciated having both a coffee machine and a kettle in the room. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job every day.
Although I only had breakfast once, it was outstanding, with a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, cold cuts, and delicious pastries.
What really made the difference was the staff—everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. I was staying for business this time, but I will definitely choose this hotel again when I return for a private trip.
