The staff were extremely friendly be it the reception, the breakfast restaurant, gym area, room service or cleaning persons. We had a feeling of more personal attention than in the large international hotel chains of the same level. The suite was wonderful, large (55 m2), well equipped (incl useful things like iron) and all in all in very good shape. The hotel left us nice give aways throughout the stay (pastries, chocolate, port wine, bubbles, berries etc) and cleaning was well taken care of as well. I liked the 24/7 gym and the pool/sauna/jacuzzi area. The quality was high and choice broad at breakfast. The location next to two museums and the main street (Ave de Libertad) was pleasant as well.
A bit clearer information on the functioning of the room service (was sorted out though). A minor thing in the room is that while the design is great, there is not enormous amounts of cupboard space for three adults.

Exceptional service from the staff - helpful and friendly. Our luggage was brought up to our room. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance to excellent restaurants, shopping and the main sights of the city.

It was well kept and the staff was very good.
Many of the services that were stated to be included weren't. "Breakfast Included" and "Free Taxi Service to the Airport" were not. They claimed that they never are free although the were highlighted on BOOKING.COM. It maybe that BOOKING.COM is to blame but it was disappointing as those two services were the reason I booked the hotel.

We were very happy with the service we received at Altis. Especially from staff member, Enis Almeida. She was very pleasant and very helpful with giving us information about the nearby beaches and made sure we had everything we needed in our room. We really appreciated her customer service and care.
the tv behind the glass/mirror enclosure made it very hard to watch tv comfortably because of the glare. I know aesthetically it looks lovely, but not a good idea.

Comfortable, staff very welcoming
Very small room, whole hotel could do with an upgrade and become more modern. The one meal we had in the restaurant was poor. My partner had pork belly which was hardly cooked, she couldn’t eat it and was vastly overpriced. Breakfast average. Not a 5 Star hotel.
