Amazing location, with exceptional staff and service. Very gracious and accommodating people! They were so helpful and caring. The room had an amazing view and amenities. Beyond comfortable, and clean!

Everything!! We tried quite a few different places in Lisbon, and Altis is now listed in our top 10 best hotels in the world. The team is extremely service minded, positive and welcoming. Our experience was fantastic and we highly recommend a stay. Big thanks to Josiane from the breakfast team for an excellent service.

Great location in the heart of Lisbon

Altis Avenida Hotel Really very, very good - high quality quiet and rooms, with blackout electric blinds - lovely roof top bar, with terrific views, drinks, food and attentive staff - all the staff were delightful (Renato and Marco, the lobby keepers, Myrian, Claudia and Sofia, to name a few on reception - there were many others, but I don’t recall their names) - the staff were helpful, well informed and accurate with their advice - right beside the Baxia area and its numerous fine restaurants and shops - note it is steep hilly (very) and, whilst crampons aren’t required, good non-slip shoes would be invaluable in the wet on what would be very slippery shiny pavement cobbles Overall highly recommended

Great location, comfy bed and decent bathroom.

A very warm welcome upon arrival and even though the room wasn't ready (arrived very early morning), they genuinely tried to make it work. I ended going into the city whilst waiting and got a lovely WhatsApp message to tell me when it was ready. The room, simple modernity - somewhat spacious for European standards, but on the smaller end if you're used to 5-star hotels in Asia, the Middle East etc. Bed comfortable, balcony nice touch, and although in a busy area, can't hear traffic. What I did hear however is the constant slamming of doors - bad luck I suppose. When it was the room next door, the wall would vibrate, which caused me to wake up a few times. Bathroom clean and bright, shower pressure not that great though. Breakfast decent, with an a la carte egg menu - the variety of the buffet changed a bit every day and the quality was very passable. The food on the rooftop however was somewhat disappointing - dry and tough pork skewers and the leche de tigre with the oysters was bland, lacking lots of flavour. Room service club sandwich was standard and the Caesar lacked a bit flavour in the dressing - not the best. What was VERY disappointing to me (and it seems to be the trend in Lisbon), there are zero wines from outside Portugal. For a 5-star hotel I would expect there to a be a little more variety, especially with such an international clientele. We tried a few from the list and none we really enjoyed - the sundeck calls for a nice French Rosé. Side note, shocking - found French Rosé wines (and others) in other venues in the city for way cheaper than the hotel was charging for the majority of the local Portuguese wines. Most staff generally very nice and helpful, knowledgeable too. Location of hotel is excellent, walking distance to some of the more popular sites and to the waterfront too. Free shuttle available to their other property (by the water) which I didn't get to do, and the spa unfortunately I also didn't have time for.
