Amazing boutique hotel in a great location. We did a lot of research before booking our Lisbon hotel and are so relieved that we ended up here. The hotel is so cute and the rooms are HUGE. It was an amazing first hotel after a long travel day (night) in from the states. The location was perfect - walking distance to many sites/cafes and otherwise a quick Uber/Bolt. The staff were friendly and provided us with recommendations upon request. Again, the best part were the rooms - clean and comfortable but also so large.

Staff was efficient, friendly and very helpful. The suite was large and well decorated. Some street noise at night, but quiet after 11 pm. We were not bothered by noise. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The accommodation was clean and well lit. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was made to order and the buffet was varied and had many delicious choices. Alecrim ao Chiado is a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful
Excellent breakfast and you can’t beat the location- easy access (most within walking) to a number of areas within the old town. Staff was wonderful and a number of very good restaurants nearby.
The bathroom set up was interesting but it’s Europe.

Very noisy at night due to location in a fun area. Nothing the hotel can do about it but be prepared to be woken up by the street noise very late at night.

Unique hotel with charming decor. Close to many interesting spots. Within walking distance to ocean front, market, restaurants and other attractions such as monuments and museums a quick taxi ride away. Underground parking nearby and convenient. Decent breakfast and friendly staff.

Staff extremely friendly! Very good breakfast. Room was especially clean and plenty of space. Location is outstanding so close to transportation though we found we could walk to most of the things we did for several of the days we were there. I would absolutely stay there again next time in town.

Exceptional
The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The HVAC was quiet. The wifi was very good. All the staff (Claudia in particular) were wonderful to deal with. The location was great - only a few blocks from the river and not too far from interesting shops, restaurants and historical sites. We walked 15-20 kms a day by choice but there are many public transportation options for those who are not so inclined. The included breakfast in the mornings were great. We were expecting basic continental breakfasts but this was so much more. Fresh squeezed juices, pastries, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit and the kitchen staff ask every morning if you’d like eggs, how many and how cooked and bring them to you. The coffee machine is excellent and very high quality. Our room would appear to be in the basement from the front of the building but in fact has a huge street level window because it’s at the back of the building and did not feel at all like it was in the basement from within the room. It was also only steps from the breakfast area for a quick coffee before breakfast in the morning. There is even a K-cup type coffee machine in your room though no cream. There is no mini-fridge in the room but this is as much a positive as a negative since those things can so often be noisy and definitely not necessary with the breakfast area so close. The bathroom was spotless, huge, well ventilated and with great water pressure.
The only things I could think of is the location of our room could be difficult to get to if you had trouble walking or with stairs. We do not and loved the complicated route to the room as it was part of the charm of this very old building. The street level window is mirror coated so as to be difficult to see in from the outside but you need to draw the heavy curtains just to be sure, though I don’t see this as much of a negative, just worth mentioning. The towel hanging hooks in our bathroom were quite lose and should be tightened but the big towel rack was solid and effective. We got a fantastic price through booking.com and by booking long in advance but the rack rate is quite high, though still probably worth it.

Wonderful
The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom shower was very good.
We enjoyed visiting with our travel companions in the downstairs lounges, and it was nice to have the honor bar for a nightcap.
No elevator and our friends were two floors away so lots of steps!
Minor fix needed- one of the bathroom vanity lights was not working.

Such a great place to stay in Lisbon. The location is incredible, and the hotel is quiet, with clean, nicely decorated, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is great. Staff really go above and beyond for guests, and are super nice. This place is a gem!
There was nothing we didn’t like. Beds were a bit firm for our taste but this was a minor thing!

Exceptional
The staff are incredible and extremely helpful from arranging trips, providing advice on places and restaurants to go which were more typical Portuguese.
The breakfast is great with helpful staff for hot items and a great selection of pastries meats and cheeses.
The location is great being a short walk downtown.
The rooms (we stayed twice before and after our cruise) they gave us were on the ground floor which were easier for us to access and they are huge with room to spread out our stuff. Bathroom is great with a roomy shower.
The hotel is an old house converted into a hotel and not your typical cookie cutter box.
The only thing they lack is some kind of outside sitting area which would be very hard to provide in the confines of this old house.
