Wonderful
The staff were incredibly helpful. My wife's wallet was stolen in downtown Lisbon and when we told the lady at the desk she offered to go with us to the police. A quiet location but with plenty of restaurants nearby.

Lovely small B&B in a quiet location, close enough to the city. Very spacious room with balcony and large bathroom - felt more like a suite / apartment size in a normal hotel. Good breakfast with fresh eggs cooked to order.

The staff is amazing! Welcoming, attentive and there to give the best possible experience. The room I stayed was also very spacious and comfortable. The hotel location was also very good. Close to tourist attractions and to restaurants.
This is not something I didn't like, but a fair warning that some of the hotel rooms require going up stairs.

The stairs were a challenge and we would have opted for a different room had we known.

Balconies in Lisbon are hard to come by with hotel rooms and thus we were pleased to find one with a balcony. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast which we were able to take to our room and enjoy outside was good.
I was anticipating something like the beautiful blue decorated one in the pictures and ours was much plainer. In addition I thought that the room would come with a bath-tub but it was only a shower. We had an unfortunate check in whereby the staff had left 7 minutes before we arrived as we arrived late, but they attempted to make up for it with a complimentary bottle of wine and free airport shuttle. However the airport shuttle never arrived at the scheduled 5:45am pick up and I had to source alternative transport at a difficult time. The hotel was very apologetic on this. I would recommend being very specific about the room you want and the amenities and understanding what comes with what room so as to avoid disappointment.

We loved our stay at 1869 Principe Real House —it was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming—warm and genuinely friendly. Breakfast offered good quality options and had everything we needed to start our day right.
While the street itself isn’t the prettiest, the elegance of the room more than made up for it. The house is just a block from a lovely park, and we really enjoyed several nearby restaurants that had good food for a good value.

All the features of this property were unusually good for European lodging. The room and bath were spacious and the location was very quiet, even with a ground floor room. Although this was our first visit to Lisbon, I can’t think of a better home base for both exploring and relaxing for a drink or meal. All of the staff were helpful-from advising which Tram to take, which restaurants to try, to offering a nice glass of port wine!

I’d love the location, up the hill, a bit and far enough away from the frantic tourist action but close to a gorgeous neighborhood park and a street filled with restaurants. I love the large, spacious room, but most of all I love the team of people who work there. They spoiled us with their attention and care and became like family before a week was up. I looked forward to breakfast when I would get to chat with several of them while having the gracious breakfast in lovely little dining room.
I loved everything about the property, to be honest
