Excellent breakfast, staff very pleasant (if a bit thin on the ground), indoor pool was great.
Not being able to make tea in your room (coffee machine available but costs £2 p/cup) seems like a serious emission for a 5 star hotel. Lovely patio but you can't sit outside and have a cuppa before breakfast.

We spent eight wonderful vacation days at this magnificent hotel. With only 15 rooms, it always maintains a calm and pleasant atmosphere.
Every morning, guests are treated to a rich breakfast buffet with both cold and hot dishes, various types of coffee, tea, and juice, as well as fresh bread and rolls. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference.
After breakfast, a spacious green area with indoor and outdoor pools and sun loungers invites you to relax. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms, generous windows, and balconies or terraces with sea views.
In the evening, there is the option to enjoy an excellent dinner. The hotel is extremely clean, always smells pleasant, plays soft music, and has a well-functioning air conditioning system. This eco-friendly retreat offers its guests a unique and responsible experience in harmony with nature.
After an interesting conversation with the hotel owner, we also talked about mass tourism and environmental protection. He explained to us that the hotel takes significant measures in the area of nature and environmental protection. The commitment to environmental protection is evident in all aspects of hotel operations. From the use of renewable energy to efficient waste management, the hotel minimizes its ecological footprint:
Solar energy: The hotel uses solar panels for water heating and electricity generation, significantly reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Waste management: Strict waste management with recycling and composting programs is implemented. Guests are encouraged to participate in these sustainable practices. Water conservation: Efficient irrigation systems and the use of greywater for garden irrigation contribute to water conservation.
Our conclusion: Hotel Vila Valverde is more than just a place to stay; it is an example of how luxury tourism and environmental protection can be harmoniously combined.

The commons areas and hotel grounds are beautiful! Amazing design and art adorn the halls which are very gracious and relaxing. Views from the room were great to wake up to and open our doors.
Breakfast was included and delicious and service in dining room was good.
The sauna and indoor pool was relaxing and enjoyable. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor pool during our stay, but looked nice.
We enjoyed the hotel overall but the rooms were missing small, but important 5-star amenities. For example, I had to move furniture around just to find a plug for my phone. They also wanted to charge 2.5€ for in room coffee.
Staff was ok but did not give 5-staff experience. We had to carry our own luggage in and did not feel catered to. We visited during the off season but still would have expected a better customer experience.

A lovely relaxing holiday, from the pool area you could see the well manicured gardens. If you need anything to eat or drink while sunbathing you could simply ring the hotel and the would bring it down to you. The breakfast was delicious.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was surrounded by beautiful grounds where there was an outdoor pool and lovely, comfy looking four-poster outdoor beds that looked very inviting. Had the weather been a bit warmer I would have happily passed some time on one. The indoor pool was beautiful and serene, perfect for a dip and then a lounge by the pool after. They also had a sauna which I used on a few occasions which really made me feel relaxed. The food was excellent. They served the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel and I have stayed in a few very grand hotels. It was table service, not buffet, and every breakfast started with fresh fruit and juices and a hot drink or two. The staff were exceptional and very friendly. Always accommodating. I hope to go back later in the year!

Large open spaces. we had a spacious room with great views
Very quiet. We were the only guests in the whole hotel. Dinner was great from a gourmet point of view but waiter lacked attention to detail. Feels like they want to get your cash at every opportunity. E 2 per coffee pod in the room is just bad judgment.
