The view was beautiful and proximity to the beach was great. Your bartender and server (forgot their names) were funny and provided great service.
The vibe was very boring, we could not cast our phones to the TVs after following the instructions, no music playing anywhere, no fun at the pool, and the absolute worst was making us pay for a hair cap??? Ridiculous. The fact that we have to wear one is stupid but if that is your rule, fine.. But to pay for them??? We just walked out. For how much we paid per night you can toss in a hair cap for free. Don't be cheap. While there I compared 4 and 5 star hotels that we could have moved to for less money but it wasn't worth the hassle.

The spa facilities were beautiful and very clean and nice. Also, view of the ocean was very beautiful.
It was advertised as being 500 meters from the beach - what they failed to mention is that the hotel is on a steep hill which, with a stroller, was not enjoyable walking back from beach or dinner. Also, the room had a very strong smell of perfume that gave me a headache. The breakfast also was very average.

Breakfast was very nice variety, loved that I could get my own coffee and variety of bakery. Dinner okay, but pretty standard. Housewine was quite bad in taste. Rituals cosmetics were awesome.
Overall I was missing the loving touch. Dining room looks a bit sterile. Spa looked a bit lifeless, could do with plants, a water dispenser, some fruit. Indoor pool and whirlpool looked a bit cloudy, so didnt use those.

Hotel was nice and clean located at the top of Luz. Nice breakfast with delicious, good selection with delicious fresh orange juice. Lovely balcony and view from the room
The sofa bed wasn't comfortable even for children along with inferior pillows for a 4 *. Main complaint was the spa, I slipped and fell twice in the cheap slippers they provided. Warned reception that there is a problem and was disappointed to hear the manager was aware of this. So why were there no warning signs on the door to the spa? I complained at the neglect of not warning clients and was told there is text in the spa brochure. Weak response, along with weak apology from the staff when I was there. I could have easily hurt myself and worry for other guests who are older and less agile. Apparently they are putting signs up now. Not a great experience.

The original dated wooden louvered wardrobes were not replaced when rooms were refurbished . A missed opportunity.

The hotel has its old school charm, the spa including jacuzzi is a really nice addition
Noise from the neighbors till 1AM, even though I specifically asked to get a quiet room if possible, and the hotel replied that all rooms are quiet and comfortable. The shelf in the bathroom was broken. The breakfast didn’t have much fresh fruits, and the ones available weren’t ripe

We arrived at 18:15 and had to wait at the reception untill we got the key to our room. Because of this we could not enter the pool/spa area anymore, as these rooms close at 19:00. This also goes for the pool. I think it was a bummer for us, because we payed extra for this hotel especially because of the facilities, but unfortunately they close very early.
Nevertheless, all facilities are very nice.
That the closing time of the facilities was very early and that the swimming pool outside was freezing cold. You also had to wear a headband to go into the swimmingpool, which we absolutely didn't like. You need to buy one at the hotel to use the small indoor pool. We eventually didnt use this pool, because there were too many in their. We hoped the pool outside would be a little warm, since the ocean was freezing cold, but the pool inside was the only one that was warm. The night that we arrived, another family arrived aswell next to our hotelroom. They came later in the night and we could hear them all the time. The kids were loud and going inside and out. We believe this hotel should be an adult only hotel. Otherwise there is no relaxing here.

Beautiful property. Easy parking. Short walk to restaurants and seafront. Wonderful village. Grocery store nearby. Great food on premises.
Bathrooms aren’t well insulated. You can hear adjoining room’s bathroom usage.
