We had a lovely stay at Giramar. The location is great - close enough to the Old Town, beaches, restaurants, and shops, yet peaceful and quiet. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, coffee machine, and many other useful amenities that made us feel at home.
A special thank you to Reda for his hospitality. From the moment we booked until check-out, he was always friendly, responsive, and happy to help. Communication was excellent throughout our stay, and he shared useful local recommendations that made our trip even better. Check-in and check-out were very simple

A quiet place in a residential area away from the turist crowds in Old Town.
It had 3 different patios to enjoy wine or beer for Happy Hour.
No basic salt or pepper in the kitchen.

Amazing host who was super friendly, checked in on us regularly via WhatsApp and fixed our broken shower head within 15mins. Crazy fast!

Quality apartments, well furnished, comfortable and clean, no signs of wear and tear, everything was spot on. WiFi was strong, kitchen and appliances all worked as expected, rooms and beds were very pleasant, bathroom was modern and clean.
Neighborhood is very calm and quiet, appears to be a residential area just a bit offset off the main city center.
The pool being detached and working as a separate service has it’s limitations, it closed on Easter without notice and we were left without access to the pool and without services for that day. Not ideal.
Also, the location is not awful, but if you’re planning a beach holiday, expect a daily commute, the main beach locations are all the way on the other side of town.

Highly recommended! A very nice and clean place with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s conveniently located close to some of the most beautiful beaches. Reda was extremely helpful and made the experience even more enjoyable.

There was loud music in the neighborhood till 24:00. I am not sure whether it was some other quesst (from other house) or some permanent disco, but it was annoying. However I suppose it is not fault of the place

Kitchen was well equipped. Had good assortment of pots and pans. We had end unit which was nice as we had three balconies. Unit is very close walk to nice gym. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool. There is a small grocery store less than 10 minutes walk away. Can walk to a beach in about 15-20 minutes. If you have a car, can drive to three really nice beaches in less than 4 minutes. Close enough access to boardwalk which is fantastic for running/walks and sunset and sunrises. Manageable walk to old city and many restaurants. Quiet location. Easy to find parking on street. Can get place cleaned daily except weekends. Overall we thought this place was perfect for our family of four. We also thought it was close to the perfect location to be in Lagos. Central to beach, grocery stores and gym. We loved our early morning kayak along the shore and caves.
This was the most expensive place that we stayed at in Portugal.

For a family holiday near to Lagos town in comfort with good facilities, the Giramar is a great place to stay. Easy to access via the lockbox, regular cleaning, good sized rooms and a great pool area make this an ideal stay for families. Wifi worked well and aircon in each room makes it easy to get comfortable. The facilities and location aren't the reason to give the low score though.
The holiday was soured by a large stag party of ~10 turning up from 19-22 June though which wasn't expected given the resort explicitly states that stag & hen groups are not allowed. I'm sure the families nearby weren't too impressed with the noise at 4am, bringing women back and the recounting of what they did to them whilst sat on the balcony or around the pool the next day. More care needs to be taken by the companies taking the bookings as if more stag groups turn up, families won't book in future
