Costa doiro ambiance village is just amazing from start to finish. The staff were highly professional . The snack bar was lovely if you didnt fancy walking into town. The dinner was amazing and done a set menu 1 night which was a nice touch as we would never order the dish but it was delicious

Breakfast was fantastic, with a large buffet with lots of options. The villas where split up, with each group having a pool. The rooms where neat, with every window having blinds. The bar was well stocked with a variety of drinks, and the restaurant staff was very professional. While it was away from Lagos city center, its close proximity to the Ponta da Piedade made its location excellent.
Little parking spots, most roads where under construction making accessibility tricky by car.

Rocky coast.
The hotel sells itself as a boutique hotel but it is not. It is large-scale and the 79 rooms are spread over several houses in the street. There are a lot of noisy construction works in the street and in the neighborhood. These will only be completed within more than 2 years from now and by that time this district will be a large mass destination without any atmosphere. Our first room was right next to construction works. There was a lot of noise and the construction workers were peeking at us at our terrace and at other guests, also at the pool. The room had a toilet and a shower in 2 transparent glass cages, without any privacy. We requested a room change. Our second room was above the kitchen and next to the kitchen drain pipe. This smelled and made noise from 7 in the morning to 11 at night. The city center is far away and the beach Praia Dona Ana is beautiful because of the rocky coast, but difficult to reach by +70 steps and stinks because of thick seaweed, which makes swimming absolutely not attractive.

Good location very close to beach and main boardwalk. 15 minute walk to town. Great breakfast included dinner is also very good.

The location is very nice, and will be even nicer in few years when all the building projects will be ready
The pool was ok, but the room was very small, the toilet as well. No closet space so one of us had to keep our stuff in the suitcase on the floor, which is also fine when there is enough space but the room is so small that the suitcase was all the time blocking the way to the balcony. We expect something else for that price. Additionally, we did not get very good impression of the stuff members. Also my shorts were never found. My theory is that while changing the bed sheets, the room service did not notice them and accidentally took them. What ever the reason was, not even one person apologized. I think they did not believe me, no compensation was offered. Big minus for the stuff members

We stayed in the deluxe apartment for a week and it was super nice. Comfy bed, lots of space, own kitchen and fridge. The staff is super friendly in the reception and also the bar/restaurant. Three pools are good to choose from and avoid the crowds. The location is a bit outside of the old town, but very close to beaches and awesome viewpoints.
We didn't like the food in the restaurant too much, but that might be personal preference and there's great options everywhere in Lagos.
