Location was excellecent close to the beach, my wife and I could hear the waves from my apartment. There is also a nice trail nearby with great views. The resturant was nice as well great breakfast. Lots of options of wine and great staff.
I wish the bar had later hours 2200 did not give my wife and I alot of time to enjoy the bar at night. There was also some rust on the outside table and the room was slightly chipped hear and there but it didnt effect our stay. The biggest downside was the internet it was practically useless and service in the area is just not good in general

The location was fantastic, the balcony of the room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean was great. The room was decent.
1. No iron, no electric kettle. You need to "borrow" both and they will note your room number as if we are thieves.
2. The staff at Reception was really "flat"; no expression, nothing. No welcome.
3. The staff at "Lucas Restaurant" was horrible. They have slight "racist" behaviour. And, they behaved as if they were supplying breakfast free of cost!!

This hotel is in a great location next to absolutely beautiful beach and cliffs. The restaurant was great and the staff so friendly.
I would say the room was very humid at times but I also understand european hotels ac are very different than the US.

We really loved our stay here. It was literally steps to the beach and breathtaking views of the famous Algarve cliff and rock formations. It was right next to a great boardwalk. The hotel is not luxurious but it is very comfortable, clean and has everything you need. Our room had a refrigerator, desk and comfy bed and good spaces for suitcases. It did have a hair dryer. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast which was included in our room rate had every option you could want -- in a dining room overlooking the amazing view. The room prices were quite reasonable too. FYI although the hotel does not have parking of its own, there is a public lot right outside the front door. It was not crowded when we were there (in March) but may get more busy in summer.
You could walk to the center of town in about 15 minutes- though there are hills of course. The hotel has a restaurant (we did not go to it) for dinners, and there are plenty of others nearby. We liked the Blue Whale for pan -Asian dinner- just a 6 minute walk up the hill.
Honestly it was all pretty great.

Location fabulous. Bus easily to town. Beach outstanding and nearby boardwalk amazing. Loved Luca’s for excellent dinner. Breakfast super selection.

The view and location are great. The breakfast buffet has a lot of options and is good.
Can’t rate the pool bar as it was being renovated in the off season.
Our room had a terrible odour (sewer smell) that got worse as the stay progressed and we needed to change rooms. Luckily we were there in off season and a change could be accommodated. The cleaning staff does a good job, not sure what was causing the odour.

Location.
Poor service, extremely loud hallways and rooms, really really poor WiFi. Breakfast was very mediocre. Not at all a good value for our money. Would never stay there again!

It’s good location, nice view from the balcony
Poor service overall, poor sound isolation which you hear everything very clearly from the rooms next to you and also in the hallway. House keeping staff start vacuuming at 08:00, the whole hallway is very noisy from early morning. Breakfast staff are very agressive, if you come later than 10:00, you will get a cold face and they do everything to make you leave. Basically no service at all.

Location
We had a toddler along and we couldn’t arrange a bowl and spoon for toddler food. Hotel lacks room service facility which is disappointing for the property as big as carvi.
