Apartment was great! Amazing views - Spacious, clean and everything available. Viewpoint is just a walking distance.
If they had a better variety on their room service menu, it would be good with extended timings at the restaurant. Maybe we went during low season - it was too quiet but well that can be a plus point too.

Breakfast. There were lots of different foods but none were any good. They also seemed that they had been out for a while. There were no made to order options. Coffee from the machines was horrendous.

We were charged for a room we didn’t book and the staff was super unhelpful in resolving the issue. They basically told us to take it up with booking.com then didn’t respond to booking.com when emailed for further detail. We will not be returning for this reason

I liked when our trip ended and we got to leave this facility.
This is without a doubt NOT a 4 star facility. My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and almost decided to go elsewhere after the first day (in hindsight, I wish we had left, even without a refund). A few things that stood out as being completely unacceptable for the price and for the hotel rating:
Bugs in the kitchen/ sitting area. There was an army of ants in the living space upon entry.
Towel policy. Fresh towels are only offered twice a WEEK? That seems ridiculous for a "resort".
Lack of signage. There was no clear way to get anywhere - between finding our room, navigating how to get to the pools/beach, and finding the pool towels, nothing was simple. The lower floors are a labyrinth of doors and the signs that do exist have been hand-altered.
Rude staff. Front desk personnel was less than helpful and generally not friendly.
Late check in, early check out. Check out being at 10 in the morning is wild. We requested to check out closer to 11 and were denied. We were that housekeeping needs 6 HOURS to clean the rooms.
The bedroom. There were zero pillows with cases on the bed. Instead, there were only throw pillows (disgusting), with 3 “pillows” available in the closet. Those "pillows" were as thick as two sheets of paper. The “double” bed was 2 twins pushed together. Nothing linking them together. There was also no mattress cover or fitted sheet on the bed, only a larger white sheet laid on top.
The furniture/fixtures. Out-dated, worn, cheaply made furniture was everywhere. Shower had a wand only and no actual shower head. We had two AC units, only one with a remote.
The "adults only" pool area was dirty and had teenagers playing ball games.
This facility is poorly managed and under serviced.

The location was fantastic, breakfast was amazing. The indoor pool/spa were great. We loved our unit and the views from the terrace. Would stay here again and again.

Heated pool, sauna and steam room were excellent perk. Location is very central to quick walk to beach and easy drive to get into Lagos.
Our heat didn’t work the first night. It would blow for 10 minutes then shut off in 1 room and didnt work in the other at all. There were no extra blankets in the room. It was about 45-50 degrees F that night in the room. We asked for help from front desk and they told us we weren’t using the remotes right. Possible but we still couldn’t get it to work with the tips provided. In all fairness we sucked ut up that night and didn’t go down again that night. Next day we complained again. They did offer us breakfast vouchers for next day for the trouble. We were not able to use them as second night was more disastrous than first. After several hours guy came and fixed it (took a while so don’t think it was user error on our end). It worked for a few hours. That night (2nd night) the electricity went out at 2:30am. There was light in hallway and in main area of hotel so seemed to be limited to our room or a few rooms in our area. There was an electronic latch on our door and without it - wouldn’t stay shut. The hallway was open to elements and blowing December rain and wind in. Obviously, heat and hot water didn’t work without electric. We told the front desk we didn’t feel safe (door wouldn’t stay shut) and didn’t have any heat or hot water. It was about 40 degrees F in our room. Front desk told us that the main staff would be in at 7am. We were told we could leave a message. We did. Nothing was offered in interim. We decided to leave at 5am after nothing was done. At least we had heat in the car. Although we left a message, no one from the hotel ever followed up. I get things happen outside hotel’s control, but the total lackluster response and follow up was really disappointing. Not having the basics and no compensation or communication from the hotel really soured the stay. Would not stay there or recommend it. Pretty on paper, but lacking bare minimum.

It was our first time staying at the Belmar Spa and Resort. Overall good resort, close to the Beach, a little further away from town center, so need a car to travel / uber. But overall we had a good experience, clean rooms and friendly staff.

We were at the Belmar in December and it rained most of the time. We still managed to walk from there to enjoy the city. Our room was very comfortable, bartenders friendly and the staff attentive. it was a great value.

Wonderful
Familiar we stay at the Belmar every year but not during fall months. It’s much busier than we like but good location and great staff ?
The apartment we rented was looking tired not well equipped like we are used to. The kitchen
was not well stocked no cooking tray or any serving dishes like a bowl or small platter they did bring me some things but I had to ask. All the units are owned and rented so each time it’s luck of the draw . I prefer to stay in the main building and not the side wings but that is just my preference
