Everything, cant wait to go back. Room very pleasant, poolside, large, clean, bright, well equipped. Beautiful landscaping. Complete bar. Great breakfast. Very accommodating and competent staff.

- Really friendly staff who were very helpful with suggestions for our stay.
- Varied breakfast - they even provided non-dairy substitutes every morning for breakfast.
- Very clean, spacious apartment with a large terrace directly onto the pool area - basically had our own sun loungers every day outside the apartment.
- Pool was almost always quiet, sometimes we had it to ourselves.
- Communal terrace area allowed us to do yoga with the sunrise.
- Quiet location but still walking distance along the coast to the town.
- Allowed a late check-out, to stay around the pool and use showers for our last day as we had a late flight.
- Nothing major at all - pool toilets were a little run down compared to the rest of the complex but we only used them on our last day.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. We stayed in a Studio with balcony sea view. Kitchenette & dining area very handy, large free water bottle provided. Very nice balcony with sea view, very private & quiet with patio furniture & loungers. Free parking, nice gardens & beautiful vegetation.
Further from town & beach than expected, although walkable. Bathroom & kitchenette design a bit dated. For price paid, free coffee, tea, milk & juice should have been provided (coffee capsules charged extra). Beware there are 2 cities called Luz on Algarve coast located at opposite ends, we realized too late & had to forego one night.

So peaceful, casual and friendly. Loved being able to have a light meal in the evening after a busy day exploring. A n oasis in a busy world.
Would like the option of not having clean towels everyday though I must admit we did not ask if that was possible.

Spacious rooms well furnished and a huge bed. Bar and poll area delightful. Loved the south facing room terrace.
Not so close to the beach but pool so good beach not needed.

The property was pretty but parts were looking tired
The price of our room was 254 for one night. Paying that kind of money we were expecting a really lovely experience but the chair beds were appalling and dirty.
The breakfast was terrible and coffee out of a machine!! The staff were ok but really!!! We stayed in three other hotels on our holiday and two of these were of similar price and honestly they were 100 percent better and more. If we were paying less than we did, I would understand the level of standard. This was really not right. I never complain but felt I had to say something. The hotel could be made to be a really good 4 star but needs money spent on it in every way.

A great stay! I loved the views from the pool and laying there in the afternoons. They have a very friendly cat that wandered around too which was a bonus. Luz is a lovely town and only 10 minute walk away for dinner. Vila Luz itself is in a quiet residential area which was very nice compared to busy Lagos. Driving into Lagos is an easy 15 minutes too for all of the sites during the day.
I wish that the breakfast opened at 8 instead of 8:30. We only got to eat at Vila Luz one morning since we had to leave at 8:30 two days to go to the airport and a boat tour.

We loved the laid back and peaceful atmosphere. The room(s) was huge and perfect for us with our toddler - the staff supported us to set up a floor bed for him which was safe and comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean. The 3 swimming pools were great, and the flowers round the porch to our room were beautiful.
Its a little further from the town but we knew that when we booked jt - it was quite nice to walk back along the sea and see the moon on the water, hear the crickets and see loads of stars as its not at all built up.

Very nice room with pool right in front. Great location in smaller village not too crowded with restaurants and beach in walking distance. Staff was nice and helpful.
