noise (singer so it was not a no go)

Room was full of ants, even crawling on my face during the night. Some staff was great, others not so great. Bathroom was VERY small.

No elevator :( Rooms are quite small.

Firstly, I was disappointed with the behavior of some of the staff. During the late afternoon shift, the dark-haired staff member was unwilling to provide me with extra towels when I requested them. She stated that I needed to bring in my dirty towels before receiving replacements, which seemed unnecessary. When I brought here 2 towels with visible holes, the situation only seemed more ridiculous. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the towels were not dried in a dryer, leaving them rough and uncomfortable to use, almost like sandpaper. The following morning, I encountered further difficulties with another staff member, Joao. When I brought him the 3 dirty towels, he raised his voice at me, claiming he had been working for the last 9 hours. I attempted to explain that I could retrieve clean towels after breakfast, but his response was to storm off upstairs to get towels, but none were clean. Again, I reminded him that I could pick them up after breakfast. His tone was unprofessional, and I felt it was disrespectful. I made it clear to him that this kind of communication was not appropriate. Another issue arose when we interrupted Joao during his smoking break, as we requested a receipt for our stay. He seemed frustrated by this request, which I found unprofessional, especially given the nature of our inquiry. Lastly, I’d like to mention the noise levels. The walls in the building are very thin, so we could hear conversations and footsteps from other guests, which detracted from the overall experience. I wanted to bring these matters to your attention in the hope that they will be addressed to ensure future guests have a more pleasant stay. I do believe that with better staff training and attention to these issues, the overall guest experience can be greatly improved.

My single room was tiny with no real window. Both the bed and the pillow were very uncomfortable. The female receptionist at check out was extremely rood

Parking in Funchal wasn't the best

In my bathroom the toilet was very close to the wall and that was uncomfortable. Besides, I didn‘t like having to throw the toilet paper in the garbage instead of in the toilet ( but I can understand the reason for that ).

Badly insulated rooms, we were woken up every time someone would go up and down the hotel stairs, we could also hear everything that was happening outside. The room was not far from the reception and we could also hear every conversation between the receptionists. The bathroom had a funky smell and there were a few stains on the bedsheets.
