The view from the apartment is spectacular. The apartment has quite new equipment. We got the local bananas from the owner of the aparment.
There were cockroaches in the kitchen. The floor in whole apartment was no clean at all.The dishes were not clean and the kitchen equipment was poor.

The view and location are fantastic if you have a car rented, and there is a convenient public transport to the property as well. Fully equipped and hosts were super nice and flexible with our late check in time. Great value for the money!
There were no hangers/hooks in the bathroom.

The views are the best part of the apartment that make it a whole experience. Waking up to those views and eating on the balcony is just a different kind of vacation which we loved. It felt like an indoor-outdoor living there which we loved. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedroom was nice and we loved the high ceilings. There was a parking spot right in front of the apartment. The owner was rlly nice when he was welcoming us. We loved that it was a bit outside of the city.

Situated away from city centre but not too far away. ? stop, 1 min away. Parking available. Grocery shop with coffee shop beside is 5 min walking distance (prices are great as it is away from tourist areas) View from balcony is breath taking ❤️. Very clean apartment, nothing broken, damaged or in need to replace it. The owner Joana was very friendly and down to earth ❤️ It was lovely to deal with. Joana will be our firs option when we will be looking for an accommodation again. Highly recommend ????
Only thing I would add is knife sharpening in the kitchen. But its me, who likes knifes sharp as razor ?

Great apartment, fully equipped, washing machine.
1) Unfortunately, the owner only visited the apartment on the third day during our eleven-day stay. Since then, she hasn't even emptied our bins. We had to ask for new bags ourselves on the tenth day and she just left them for us on the door handle.
2) The dishes were greasy.

Wonderful
Superb views from the balcony. Location works well if you are prepared to walk/use the bus, the apartment is a long way from Funchal town centre. The walk to the town is long (about 1.5 hours) but full of wonderful views and plenty of reasonably priced places to stop to have a drink/eat, the walk back is uphill all the way which can be tiring. Most prearranged tours will arrange collection from the apartment at no extra cost (we booked the west Island tour with free collection/drop off - other companies do this too).
We enjoyed exploring the area and found many nice places to eat at a much lower price than the centre of Funchal. There is a bar next door serving drinks/snacks, a supermarket within 10 minutes walk (although we ate out most nights), Patisserie next to the supermarket ideal for coffee and breakfast.
We used the apartment as a base for our exploring so spent little time inside, the apartment worked perfectly for this.
The host was lovely and we really appreciated the bananas and cake he left for us, he was very accommodating meeting us after 10pm due to flight delays.
The bathroom tended to smell particularly after a shower.
We had one bath sheet, one bath towel and one hand towel between two of us for our 4 night stay, whilst the heat meant these dried quickly between uses, a set each would have been useful.
It is worth noting that the pictures show a range of apartments so you will need to check the details carefully.

Great location and amazing view! The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen big and well equiped. Plus is terrace with the view over the whole city! Parking in front of house. Recommed to all who have their own cars.
It was a bit cold, and there was no air conditioner or heating.

The place was close to public transport which helped for work. The view was spectacular. The owners were always ready to help.
The piping was an issue. It smelt when we used the one basin and was worse when everyone in the building were home at the same time.
