Very close to sea front with nice views from the terrace
We have arrived at the hotel to be told we would not get rooms we have booked 6 months prior and that we would have to stay in a different hotel. The other hotel was not 4 star at all - very dated and cleanliness was not there. When finally booked here 3 nights later we have been upgraded to a suite and have been offered complimentary dinner after we have actually asked for it reception area is lovely, nice and clean but the rest of the hotel definitely needs some refurbishment to bring it up to date. Carpets in corridors are dirty, definitely needs some improvement

That was my first stay at Madeira - and it was the perfect beginning of the vacation! Weve been upgraded from a seaview room to something - i dont know - similar to penthouse seaview, featuring huge window and terrace with ocean and pool view. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, room is clean, new and comfortable.
Theres a comfortable parking garage, make sure youll pay for it at the reception, it will be cheaper (8 euro/day)

The hotel looked really good from the outside and had a big swimming pool (and even a bar - which was not in action - but still.. :)).
I was totally disappointed from the room! We got the room, that we have booked and saw in the pictures, but after checking it was clear that the photos were much edited! Especially our bathroom did not fullfill our expectations it all. The shower (or bathtube, whatever it was) was not clean at all. The whole bathroom was super smelly, which also had influenced the overall smell of our room (even if it got cleaned daily). It even looked like the bathroom door was starting to mold or rot from the standing moisture! The location was also not very central. If you want to make it to Funchal downtown, plan 45 minutes walk in...

Rooms together, hotel was very well done. Service was very good, friendly and welcoming
Bathroom "door" was glass, no privacy on the toilet. The roof top bar weren't the best drinks.

Spacious room, modern bathroom, comfortable bed. Near from the center of Funchal when you have a car (less than 10 minutes).
There is a parking for the car, very useful in Funchal (8/jour)
The surroundings are a little noisy (road in front of the hotel).

The reception staff is very kind. That s probably the only good thing, well done for hiring good people
This hotel is far from what it looks like. The breakfast was extremely poor, the bread was clearly from the previous day, it had started to bend at the corners, the sausages looked disgusting. The rooms are outdated, the carpet is actually dirty, the rooms smell bad.
All in all price is much too high for what they offer, and the saddest thing is that although they said that their parking for 8 hours costs 8 euros, they asked me 22.5 euros. They said they got it wrong but they didn't pay anything back. What on earth guys?

Really large clean room with a comfy bed and usb charging points next to the bed
Staff were friendly and check in was very fast
Breakfast was not extensive but had everything you need
Excellent location next to lots of lovely restaurants and bars, we found we didnt need to walk into Funchal to find something to eat

Nice modern hotel, good breakfast, lovely pool. Big room and big comfortable bed.
Had to pay to park, although 8 per day wasn't too bad. Pool bar was closed (April). Glass divider for bathroom was ok for us but others may not like it.

Fantastic breakfast, Staff is doing everything to make you comfortable. Clean. Pool terrace is nice. Location nice and central but close to major tourist hotels.
Pillows were very poor. Coffee maker leaking. Just one chair at the balcony.
