The staff was lovely and helpful, the breakfast was very good and diverse everything was fresh. The facilities (pool, jacuzzi) were good and clean. The location is just a few minutes away from the center of Funchal so it's still quiet but accessible.

Wonderful staff! Both Noemi and Karina, the receptionist, are super sweet and helpful. The property is well kept. It is at a great location within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and cafes.

Terrace Mar is a fantastic hotel. The location is fantastic with various restaurants around and easy transport into Funchal centre. The two single room had a fridge, stovetop and utensils. The staff were extremely helpful and the hot tub was great. The views from the rooftop pool/hot tub are breathtaking and there are three levels of loungers. There are also open terrace areas with tables and chairs for hanging out.
The breakfast was good with various meats, eggs, breads and fruit.
The only thing that caused an issue was temperatures of the pool and hot tub. The pool is advertised as heated but out of the five nights I was there the pool only approached 27 degrees C on one day. The hot tub was usually heated nicely but, again, two days was much lower than the signposted 32 degrees C.

Really friendly and helpful staff. The room was amazing, the hotel was clean and it was nice to have parking under the hotel. Would highly recommend people to stay here and enjoy Madeira to the fullest.
The stay was amazing! My only “criticism “ could be the breakfast that had a little variety but still a really good breakfast.

Love the rooftop swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi with an honesty bar! Great view from up there. Room cleaning every day is perfect! Lots of (paid) parking around the hotel. Great location close to restaurants and shops. Friendly staff. Huge room with balcony and kitchenette.
Balcony furniture could be more comfortable. Pillows are in need of replacement, espescially the smaller one, but still plus for two pillows in each bed. Hard to get parking in the hotel garage, you need to use street parking mostly with a limit amount of 2,50€ maximum.

Very spacious apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette. All amenities, such as a hair dryer, were provided as described. Balcony available.
Great variety of breakfast options (eggs, meat products, fruits (some local), vegetables, dairy, bread, sweets, cereals, etc.).
Heated swimming pool, which we didn't have time to use :).
Courteous and helpful hotel staff.
Big plus for the free parking (there's a catch worth knowing about - the size of the underground parking, but others mention this so I won't elaborate), which can be reserved.
It's not a disadvantage, but worth mentioning that the accommodation is at some distance from the center. But this is clearly visible on the map. Besides, taxis aren't expensive, and buses run regularly as well.

The hotel is in a great location — it’s easy to reach the city center, promenade, and other key spots. There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. The staff is absolutely amazing: very friendly and always happy to help. The rooms are spacious and spotless. It was also great to have a small kitchen, fully equipped with everything you might need. We didn’t cook, but it was very convenient for storing and washing fruits and snacks. Overall, I can honestly recommend this hotel — it offers great quality at a surprisingly low price.

Fantastic week at this lovely hotel. Fantastic staff, quick and easy check in. Room and facilities were excellent. The room was cleaned every day, excellent. Definitely return again. The location was brilliant could walk to Funchal 25 minutes or walk opposite direction to camara dos lobos 1 hour walk beautiful.

The hotel is very well located with professional staff and good facilities. The shower was excellent, high pressure and large.

Terrace on top, bide, good breakfast with lots of fruits. Lots of restaurants around. The location is in the middle of the city attractions.
