Great location if you want to pick up the trails. Appartment was well taken care of and super clean. Laid back atmosphere and nice people. Will definitely recommend.
Small thing to consider: kitchen utensils were a bit sparse but perhaps thats because we almost always cook in when on a longer trip.

The suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and Duarte and Ana were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The weather was unusually rainy while we were there, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool or the terrace as much as we would have liked, but the view was fantastic and the pool looked clean and well maintained.
When we first arrived, it wasn't very obvious from the street where the entrance was.

Just wonderful! Good location if you have a car and want to stay in a calmer area but close to the city. Room is really luxurious and clean. Warm in the winter. Views are just amazing! Staff is very helpful and nice people

It is the perfect holiday accommodation. The exterior and interior are beautiful. The design is meticulous and well thought out. The views are breathtaking. There is a private car park, the hotel has a swimming pool. There is garden furniture to enjoy the view, and in the garden there are avocados, papayas, other fruits and flowers. There are the softest bedsheets my skin has ever touched and beds are very comfortable. There is a very good restaurant a minute away. The location is very convenient.

A family-friendly, charming hotel with a wonderful view. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Sometimes we received fresh avocado from the garden with breakfast.

this stay in an extraordinary house was a very special experience for us, which made us feel like friends rather than guests right from the start, simply because of the special, personalised service. The self-image of hospitality of the owners is exactly what travellers like us are looking for, and now we know that we have found it with them, and that they and their house are among the very few that we will certainly visit again!

Amazing boutique hotel. Great location for hiking. You need a hire car but the hotel has gated parking. Anna who runs the hotel is amazing, she went over and above to make us feel welcome. Always smiling and ready to offer help and advice for walks and places to visit. We’ve told our friends and will definitely be coming back again.
Morning much on the negative side. You need a car to stay here but that’s great as means you don’t need to go on the organised hikes and can take yourself. It’s only 15 mins to the coast or mountains too. So nothing bad to report.

The host was very nice and able to give us tips about what to see on the island. The pool was wonderful (although a bit chilly at this time of the year). Our apartment was well apointed and very clean. Good breakfast. From one booking.com host to another: bravo!

We loved everything about the Quinta and our room. The hosts are the kindest people who are always open to give recommendations for activities and dining and also always there to help whenever there is anything you need. You see how much love they put into this place. The breakfast was also very very good! We traveled with our 10 months old baby and stayed for almost 3 weeks, we felt welcome for the whole stay. Also it was no problem to borrow a crib and baby chair. The Quinta is located in Campanario which is about 15 mins from Funchal and everything we wanted to see and do on this beautiful island was accessible (by rental car - important!) within 1 hour 15 maximum. Best place, we will definitely come back!!
