Nice boutique hotel. Good breakfast.
Location, hotel is located on steep hill. It is very difficult to drive up on street of 45 deg inclination. SPA is very small, it fits only 5 persons. Very small sauna.

The service. We booked a superior room and we had 2’ standar rooms with sgl bed
They told me they were giving us a refund / compensation 3 times, 3 different people and never happened
The room had no working a/c it was sooooo hot , had to sleep with the window open and I was same floor of the pool

Very nice property! Clean spacious rooms. Breakfast was excellent.
It’s slightly far from downtown Funchal.You have to take a taxi to go to town.

We liked very much staying here.
Very nice and comfortable the room.
The staff was very helpful and kind, also from the breakfast area.
Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is clean and big.
The view from hotel is very nice, you can see all the Funchal.
The breakfast very varied ,with quality products.

Breakfast selection was plentisome and fresh and the staff was very attentive and professional. Excellent service.

Breakfast was good, lots of different stuff on offer and it was really tasty! Facilities were ok, basic but nice spa, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were always clean. The air conditioning worked fine and you get a good view. There’s a car park there if you’re hiring a car, which was really handy!
It’s not a 5 star hotel, maybe 4 star at best. The complimentary shuttle down to Funchal wasn’t running on the days we wanted to use it (even though it was on the screen that it was) so we were told to take a bus or walk (takes 45 minutes to get down to the town and it’s near on vertical ?). We were taken to a different (4 star) hotel on the first night because there were no rooms available for us. There was no apology so we complained and were offered wine and a fruit platter, we don’t drink alcohol and some of the fruit platter was mouldy, so we took that back. Tea and coffee facilities are in the room but you’re allowed 1 hot drink each PER STAY, and any extras are charged at 1€ per item. The hotel is nice, but it’s definitely not the luxury experience we had hoped for. There are DEFINITELY many many better hotels in and around Funchal, I don’t believe the quality of this hotel reflects the price.

Brilliant new world design hotel with excellent old world service!! Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff could not be more helpful. Restaurant staff brought back old world precision service that is so missed these days. Congratulations team, it was an honour to stay with your team.

My First Night I spent at a different Hotel, because they were overbooked. The View over Funchal was amazing! Very clean and nice rooms! I was a little shocked about the breakfast buffet, since I expected a little more varieties but it was totally enough! Dinner at the Hotel Restaurant was also very delicous!
Location! It is not central at all! If you book tours, they dont pick you up from the Hotel! Take a bolt, which is way cheaper than Taxi!
