Bed was excellent and mirrors made "family time" exceptional - enjoy!
Buildings are remarkable, good architecture.
Decorations make good impression.
De-Tox juice in breakfast was good.
Local candies as a gift was very nice - sharing information on local values.
Dinner - awful, did not meet even 2 star hostel level: terrible, disappointment for us and disgrace for hotel. We felt for the offer and it was failure: starting from snobbish service and finishing with uneatable desserts.
Female stuff was fair enough, but mail stuff was narcissistic, arrogant, unwelcome, even a bit rude.
Breakfast was almost edible, but ... coffee was like dishwasher rinse water, there was no tea to replace as well.
Nice to have calmares-rings in breakfast, but not much use as there was no lemon juice to dress them - makes no sense.
Excellent to have sparkling wine in breakfast, but to find included in price drink among alcohol for payment makes this trick unfair: this way majority of customers did not know that it is included and hotel saved money while could earn more points by this.
Too much savings on little, but important things .,.. ketchup - why to have for 100 customers 4-6 little 4g packages? Does this saving makes hotel more wealthy?

Reception staff was super friendly, specially the older man that was there.
Breakfast and dinner lacking vegetarian options. No plant based milk available for intolerant people. They mentioned upon request, I requested and it was ignored, i ended up buying my own milk even though i paid for breakfast. Food was poorly cooked.
Gym is very old, two running machines, both didn't work. No water filling stations anywhere, only at the gym, which closed early. Tap water at dinner provided but at a cost of 5 EUR. At breakfast was free. Guests ended up going to the super market and coming back with plastic bottles to the hotel.
Rooms where not very clean. Our bathroom sink was clogged, dust under the bed, dirty curtains and old and dirty carpets in the corridors. Sanitary bin in the bathroom with no plastic bin, I asked for a bin bag, they said they did not use any. Cleaning lady made a comment to me: "you know, it is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star", I was shocked.
Music every night until 11pm for the tourists, which was unconformable because we could hear it all the way into the rooms. We had to stand up and close some of the doors but there was still noise. We asked reception for ear plugs, but they did not have any.

The pools were wonderful. The indoor pool is heated and is a great option for when the water outside is cold.
The food is very basic and didn't meet our taste expectation.

Our family likes everything. Luxurious resort and rooms. The view from the balcony was unrealistic
We are vegetarian so there are very few options to eat.
Request to Pestana village... please add more veg options.

Good food, extremely good location, really nice staff.
They charge extra for parking on the hotel parking; during dinner they charge extra for even a basic bottle of water, even if you already paid for the breakfast & dinner. This is a shady practice...
Generally, the room was dirty. Mold under shower, dirty windows, dirty sofa, leaky water tap in the shower. I would not give it more than 3 stars as a hotel.

Location and character perfect with well kept grounds. Staff were exceptional at reception, room cleaning and restaurant. Food was good in both quality and choice at all facilities.

I have booked 1 bedroom apartment and they gave me 1 studio apartment for the same price smaller room for this reason I will choose a different hotel next time

Beautiful gardens and pool. Ability to use facilities and dining at other Pestana hotels.
Slightly tired hotel. No air-conditioning. Buffet food is adequate but not great.

The room was a good size, bed large. Internet had a good speed. Noise insulation good, commendably quiet.
Decor needs an update, everything a bit faded. No air conditioning, just a ceiling fan.

The hotel has the parking and the nice pool.
Everything is well organized. The stuff is very nice.
It is located 20 minutes walking from the center.
There are many restaurants close to the hotel.
The concerts are till 11pm and it doesnt allow to sleep.
The breakfast could be better.
The pillows are not very comfortable.

External area.
The internal area like the bedroom is terrible. Old and uncomfortable bed. No air conditioning, very hot room and noisy fan that made it impossible to sleep both nights due to the value and noise from the fan. The most important thing in a stay is the room and this is a minimum when paying 430 euros over two nights for something so uncomfortable. The bed was really uncomfortable. And the noisy ceiling fan had to buy ear plugs. Breakfast and dinner were good.
