Very Good
Location was very good, close to the ocean. The reception was working 24/7 and the parking for car was easy accessible. The variety of food was good and the food was delicious.
We would have loved if the pool working hours would have been extended till 8 or 9pm.

The room was very old. Air con didn’t work properly. Smelly bedroom like closed for a good while. Bed is dipped.. like too old

The room was large and quiet, with a great view of the ocean.
It was sort of falling apart a bit. Mold in the bath with a squishy floor in the shower. Drab paint and furnishings. Main areas were very load. For was mediocre and your only choice was the buffet. I would never return.

The hotel looks exceptional! The rooms and the beds are comfortable. The good is plenty! The activity team is hard working, enthusiastic and happy. Talented too. The shuttle to the city centre is very convenient. The SPA AREA IS SERENE. The inner garden is very baiting. He staff is there for you every step! Thank you!

I’m very disappointed with the fact that room cleaning stuff used to touch my private things and reading my notebook ?… that’s really awful
And poor quality of bed matrasses , for such price it could be better

There’s a beautiful garden, it is in a nice location with a reaaly nice view over the sea and the Praia Formosa.
The staff is realy polite and always available to help.

This resort was overlooking the ocean. The building was finished in granite and marbles and had loads of European charm. The Portuguese wines served as part of the all inclusive were excellent.
The food was really disappointing. The 4 star designation was not warranted. 2 stars describes the fare. It was worse than a really cheap cruise.

The property location was good, 10 mins to city centre. Overall the landscaping around the hotel is fantastic. Lovely to go for walks, or relax by the poolside with a drink. We were upgraded for free drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are offered throughout the day, and poured out by the staff with gusto. The staff were especially nice… eager to assist, and everyone from the receptionist to the staff around the hotel area like pool, children’s area, restaurant were extremely helpful and welcoming.
It’s an old property, so do not expect pristine conditions for the bathrooms. Most of the toilets in and around the hotels show signs of wear and tear, chipped walls etc. we assumed they were clean! The mattress in our room had a dent, which made a rough first night. It was replaced the next day. The mattresses in general are quite hard, but they offered a topper. I am not a fan of a king size bed that comes as joint up version of 2 singles. Something to watch out for, especially if travelling with small children. The food at the restaurant was average. The spread is quite high, but it’s quite bland and repetitive for 5 nights. I’d recommend trying out some local restaurants, even if you choose full board.

The pools were great even during winter season, and elevator to access the beach more easily was very convenient to see the sunset. The food was best during meal-times, the snacks in-between were OK, but we are not fans of fried food. During the summer it might be better, as they have an outdoor grill, which was, unfortunately, not working off-season. Overall a very enjoyable stay.
There were bird handlers showing off owls, parrots, eagles, etc., which we found quite odd.

I loved everything
Maybe there had to be more variety at the restaurant, but for the money we've spent, everything was fair enough.
Also the hotel isn't new. You'll be upset if expect this.

The breakfast was good overall and the bread, fresh fruit and omelettes particularly.
The swimming pools are excellent and kept well as are the gardens
Serving nasty saccharine laden fruit squash in a 5 star hotel instead of fresh juice is unacceptable. They should invest in the machines which are fed with fresh oranges and do away with nasty ‘fruit drink’ taps. We could not stomach it at all and missed the fresh juice we drink daily at home.
For the first week I put up with the bed that was too firm for me and kept me awake, leaving me with back ache each morning. After a week, we realised we could get a mattress topper, which though oddly lumpy, did improve things for the few remaining days.
The range of food at the buffet was good, but it was mostly over cooked, so I had to specially request fish and meat to be cooked rare on the grill
