The staff were welcoming and accommodating.
We has sea view room and it was great. Breakfast was exceptional.

Great location. Breakfast was good and the views are amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff had a small birthday cake in the room for us. Very nice touch.
There was a strange odor in our room when we checked in. After leaving the window open and running the ac and fan it went away.

Beautiful spacious room with a sea view, delicious breakfast, attentive friendly staff, great location next to the sea and with bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Nothing other than we did think the hotel parking fee was high,€15 a day. We parked in the public car park opposite for €4.50 a day.

Practically everything - views from the balcony, excellent breakfast buffet, great location, clean rooms and all premises, polite and respectful staff, nice pool- what's not to like about it. We could come back again.
To be picky, some furnishings felt a little outdated, but it did not spoil the overall impression. We really liked everything.

The staff and the location are really great. The pool and the direct access to the ocean were also nice.
Room and corridors had a musky smell. Probably from the carpet. The doors slammed so hard, that there's no way your neighborurs won't wake you up the morning. Hotel is old and you can tell. Spa is a joke for a "5 star" hotel.
The only 5 star thing in the hotel was the staff and the location. Not much else.

Everything was great. excellent hotel, very nice staff, clean rooms. Delicious breakfasts, convenient parking. stayed for 3 nights and everything was very comfortable. convenient to get to all interesting places. I recommend and would like to come back again

Fabulous location with great access to promenade walk, restaurants, public transportation to Funchal . Staff were amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful with day trips, hikes etc.
Restaurant, didn’t enjoy choice of menu.

Amazing view of the ocean! We were on 8th floor, right above the ocean: magical!
Breakfast room also with amazing view of the ocean, can sit outside in the terrace. But food too repetitive, exact same thing every day for the full week we were there :/
Good daily cleaning of the room.
Very small spa area, gym even smaller. They just had a small sauna and opening hours were awful, you could not use it basically.
Only outdoor pool and for me water temperature is freezing, could not put a finger inside the water.
