Studio apartment complex right next to main hotel. You could use all of the hotels facilities which included a 10% off breakfast which was very good. Friendly staff. Left luggage after checkout so I could go on a whale/dolphin tour from 10:00 to 13:00.

The room was relatively big. There are some basic kitchenette, so you can make sandwiches and hot drinks.
The room is modern and nice looking.
Location is not bad - many restaurant near the hotel, and about 12 min walk to city center.
The check in process was very bad. No place to put your car so you can take out the luggage and check in. There's no parking, they give some vague instructions on how to park in the nearby hotel (which weren't accurate). So it was quite frustrating.
After that, we just kept parking in the nearby hotel, which was fine but the payment process was a bit annoying.
Beds weren't super comfy but it was fine.

The facilities of the other hotel are free to use, very close by
Staff are supper friendly
The room is very dark, even when all lights are on
The parking is problematic - one parking area for the w hotels, always full

The central location, room was spacious, great facilities
For all facilities (breakfast, pool, gym etc) we had to walk to their next door hotel. It was a 5 minute walk but it was worth the lower price compared to that hotel.

It’s our second time in this hotel . It’s very conveniently located , quiet , we prefer it to big loud hotels . Staff is extremely friendly and helpful ( thank you amazing Helen, you are a true gem ) and Deborah .
We’ll definitely be back . We left yesterday but we already miss you !

Location is great, and decor is nice.
I expected more from Pestana. The whole building felt more like an Ibis than a Pestana. Bad quality construction from the start.
The area can get noisy at night (weekend nightlife), and rooms are not properly isolated.
Parking was not made available, although it was advertised.
Mind that breakfast, gym, etc are not located in the building, but on the other Pestana hotel on the other side of the street.

Absolutely amazing hotel with great breakfast with gorgeous view. Loved the pool area. The hotel made my birthday special with free bottle of brut and fizz drink for our daughter.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast in the nearby hotel Pestana.
The temperature of water in the shower changed by itself. Either it was too hot or too cold but never just right. Water in the swimming pool was too cold to be able to swim in it.

We liked the super friendly staff and that we could use the breakfast and amenities (pool, gym, etc) of the sister hotel next door.
For the cost however I would have expected a spotless place with little things like coffee, tea, oil and salt/pepper in the room to be able to cook something. Instead the carpet had spots and some of the cupboards had broken fronts, which is not what I expect of a 4-star place.
