It’s in a very good position, close to market if you need to buy stuff. The place it’s very clean, they do room service every day.
You can find free parking pretty close by.
The staff is very helpful and friendly
There is a very hard mold scent in the bathroom.
You can hear the water flowing through the pipes which can be pretty disturbing at night.

Excellent and clear communication from the reception staff. Helpful housekeeping staff. Very close to the #8 stop of the Airport AeroBus. A shopping mall with grocery store is also nearby. Affordability.
Very difficult for seniors or those with mobility to climb the stairs and rather steep sidewalk in front of the hotel.

It is quite central, 10 min walk to restaurants and central places in Funchal. There is a kitchen with reasonable equipment for breakfast. It includes free coffee, although the coffee machine ran out of capsules in the morning.
The beds are a bit hard to my liking, and there was an unpleasant smell of suage or something in the bathroom.

Very centrally located. Daily cleaning of the room. Comfortable beds. Kind staff. It has a kitchenette equipped with everything you need. For those who are expect too much, maybe it is not the right choice, but it had everything we needed and we were happy with our stay.

I really liked the staff there - very friendly and always ready to help. Location is perfect for Funchal - roughly 10 minutes away by walking from the city center and harbour area. My window view was amazing - I watched the NY fireworks literally our from my room!

Car parking not there. But I think it’s typical of downtown. Also my mattress was not even. Was in room #5 I had to adjust periodically

The location is close to main Plaza Mall and there are many bus stops nearby. The best thing is that ares is well connected but also quiet, not noisy at night at all. The room was decent, it had everything I needed for the stay.

Location was great, the staff was very kind. I also liked that you could access the kitchen to cook. If you’re looking for somewhere purely to rest you head it’s good for that. I liked how many windows the room had
The bathroom always smelt like sewer. The shower was very small and that would have been ok but faucet gets so hot I bent over to grab shampoo and was burnt by it. There were silver fish bugs on my bed at times. The sheet on the bed constantly kept coming off while sleeping. You could also hear everything outside the room in the hallway

The patio where you can eat breakfast is very nice with a beautiful view of the city and ocean.
Beware - lots of steep stairs with no lift options. It’s a challenge when you first arrive and have to carry your bags up the steep stairs.

The location is quite centric, the only good thing about this place.
No lift, high stairs, no parking, cracked window frame-wall, etc. Need some upgrading. When asked for advise where is the nearest parking place, no reply.

Wonderful
The receptionist was very helpful upon arrival. They were very accommodating of storing my bags both at arrival and after checkout. I had a lovely view, and the fresh air was very refreshing with all the windows open. The location was within walking distance of downtown area and the water, and very close to the bus station.

The staff was so friendly in saving the breakfast I had ordered and packing it into the refrigerator for me. I was running late for attending a conference and it was so helpful that they did this for me. Thank you so much!!
Air circulation in the room could be a bit better--the window is lovely, but it could use a vent for cross ventilation.
