Fair
The resort is nice, the room is spacious, and there is a kitchenette and two balconies. The location is good, with the view and the sounds of the ocean. There is parking in front of the hotel, but even off season it is not sufficient, so we parked outside of the property. The reception staff is nice.
The hotel is not far from the airport.
We got quite surprised by some of the hotel policies, like you have to rent a safe (which is in the room) for an extra charge. You need pool towel exchanged? That's a paid service per hotel policy (you also have to bring the towels to the reception on check out to avoid being charged - there is no card for that).
The internet connection was very poor.
Parking would likely be outside of the property. You have to plan upfront for when you want to have your room cleaned or towels changed. Dinner and breakfast options are quite limited - but I must say the food generally tasted good.

Room, view, balcony
I fell my last night there due to unlit rear entrance. I hurt my knee which was bleeding.
When I got to my room, I called to report the missing light and the my knee. There was little concern shown and no sense of responsibility. When I requested a later check out the next morning, the cleaning manager (?) was rude in tone telling me that was impossible.

THE BEDSHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED FOR 7 DAYS !! in a 4 star hotel !!! and that is not a mistake, it i is the hotel's policy!!, not a good day
No room cleaning for 7 days (except for trash removal and towel change upon request); it was the only hotel where a "bribe" of 3 euros/day was offered to waive cleaning (upon request); breakfast without variety, without local or quality products

Parking limited to a few available spaces, otherwise public parking with payment
Swimming pool clean, unheated, sun loungers in need of refurbishment or at least cleaning...

Wonderful
Amazing hotel, great views from the balcony, huge room with extremly large windows, so that one can take in that whole view. The room had some small kitchenette, a kettle and a coffee machine.
Nice pools, spa. There are silent hours at the spa, when it's adult only. I really appreciated it.
Multiple restaurants and bars, game room, snooker and table tennis.
There are some restaurants and bars around within walking distance, and many more if you're willing to drive a little. There are some supermarkets around as well.
Beach is rocky, Reis Magos, 2 min walk.
Car park is small. There is plenty of space to park around, but our car got scratches during the night in the parking nearby.
One can hear the noises from the hallway pretty loudly inside the room. Like wind howling and people passing by and chatting.

Amazing property right along the water. Staff were super helpful and responded immediately to our needs even though there was a mix-up with booking.com. Resort has everything and the breakfast (included) was exceptional.

Nice ocean view, direct access to ocean walk, parking for free, nice location with local places in neighborhood for dinner, good spot to explore east and north Madeira
Food! Dinner buffet was underwhelming and not worth 31€ per person + drinks! Food was unseasoned and very much overcooked (especially fish, vegetables, beef),
Fried eggs at breakfast looked and tasted like frozen eggs that were steamed in oven, sausage, bacon, pancakes cold. Best part of food: fruits and bread!
Overall: This is a family hotel - hence very many children

The staff is very nice and welcoming, the bed is very comfortable and the room has a nice view! There is a lot of choice for breakfast and it is very good.
The location is very convenient for a morning flight as it is 10 min from the airport.

Service at reception was excellent, breakfast was varied, room was smaal but ok and view was beautiful (after having changed rooms)
the type of room we reserved was not available when we arrived. They proposed us an other room and free half board, drinks included if we would keep that room. The view of the room was awful. The next day they proposed us the standard room we had reserved, but with the same view. We refused. At the end front desk proposed us a smaller room with a nice view, half board, but without drinks... This is rather a family hotel, or a hotel for seniors...

The location and the view with the sound of the sea breeze is amazing! The dishes were deliciuos and enough. However the rooms furniture needs some refreshment. The staff were helpful all the time. Easy to park around with rented car, and the hotel has E-car charger point. This accomodation is ideal with kids and family!
At the inside pool the kids were too noisy and splashing all around, it makes hard to relax inside.

Very good location, just by the ocean, between airport and Funchal - perfect base for exploring the island. Hotel is renovated/beeing renovated (some works in parts of the hotel). Good breakfast buffet with high quality ingredients (with one minor defect described below). Very good dinner buffet. Friendly, helpful staff. Superior package was a nice surprise - I thought it's only about the sea view and bigger room, but turned out to mean also pre-reserved table of choice (always the same) for dinner and two a-la-carte excellent dinners. Heated outside pool with ocean water is great in winter!
Even though renovated, hotel itself is rather old, and you can see it in some details (furniture for example). In contrary to all other breakfast choices, scrambled eggs were awful. Indoor pool very small and cold Finnish sauna. No other disadvantages - rest was just great!!
