Nothing, everything was excellent.

Be aware that this hotel is „entangled“ by several steep roads, bridges and sharp curves, all contributing to significant traffic noise, also at night. We did not use the swimming-pool which looked from above a bit murky in the afternoon (people don’t use the showers!!!)

The ONLY negative I have to say is Google maps will tell you to try to turn left over a solid white line into this property which is illegal and bad because it’s a blind curb. If you continue straight and double back via a round about it’s your best shot! Otherwise, all positives!

We loved our stay at the Views hotel. But it seemed unusual that they didn't have/offer help with luggage and you have to remember to specify what days you want your room cleaned.

The AC never got lower to what we wanted it. Had to get maintenance to take care of a few other things which he did fix but not the AC issue.

We had a room with a view to Funchal and the sea as we had wished, which was great. However, the balcony was quite narrow and dark, so it wasn't really a balcony where you could sit and spend time.

15 euros for room service is a bit too much

The indoor jacuzzi is quite cold, not even lukewarm, even on cold overcast days, and it’s not possible to increase the temperature, only to turn on the bubbles. The indoor pool is also very cold, thought it would be a bit more heated. Some of the front desk staff are kind and helpful. Others are rather curt. There are some strange policies the hotel has, such as - The spa refuses to give guests a towel to begin with, they insist you MUST bring it from your room. Can you pay 1 euro for it, use it and then give it back before leaving? No, then you might take it and have 3 towels which is not allowed. You must go back to your room (several hallways, some stairs across the lobby, and an elevator) to retrieve it, then come back. - I asked if it is possible to simply look out at the view of Funchal from the highest floor. This view is featured prominently on the booking.com website, and a big reason why I booked this unique hotel for a Birds Eye view of Funchal and the sea. I was told if I don’t have a booking at the Michelin star restaurant, I cannot even visit the floor for a moment to see the view. Are there other options for viewing the city from a higher floor, beyond the third floor? I was told it’s not possible. While I appreciate their commitment to guest safety and privacy, I wish it were clear on the website or on booking.com that the view shown is not possible from the Michelin restaurant or that floor. The Relaxation Massage at the spa has almost no pressure at all, it’s just gliding over your skin with oil at high speed. I had hoped for medium pressure and asked for that when booking it, and was told to go with the relaxation massage. A vending machine for snacks on floor zero would be helpful, since the hotel is not near any small convenience store that would be open after hours. One night I slept through dinner due to jet lag. The closest option, since there was nothing on the premises, would be the marina area, a taxi ride or 20 min walk.
