The surrounding nature was unique, the house is in the middle of banana plants. There was a private parking. The ocean view from the bed was beautiful. The host put some fresh local fruits on the table as a welcome gift.
There were a lot of bugs and mosquitoes, we couldn't ventilate because there was no mosquito net on the windows or air conditioning. The kitchen equipment was poor and used. The water was running from the shower head while used it. The apartment is tastefully furnished, but it was cheap.

The terrace with the view and the light to eat outside and the glass window to see the city lights from the bed.
It's should be nice to have things like oil, kitchen paper, laundry detergent and maybe something for mosquitos.

The terrace was wonderful and the view from it was beautiful, the room was very big and spacious, the bed was huge, the owner was very kind and gave us bananas from their plantation which were excellent, the bus stop is very close and takes you to the center of Funchal, would recommend.
The hill to the apartment takes your breath away, literally.

There are 2 floors + balcony. Wide bathroom. huge bedroom. Amazing design especially kitchen. Kind hosta. Beautiful view at the montain.

We had a week's stay in Maderia and Fazenda do Sousinha and it was brillant. A stunning Island supported by a fantastic property, very quaint, well proportioned, clean and with all the facilities required. Beautifully situated high up with amazing views, which were appreciated sat out on the verandah with a glass in the evenings.
The weather was beautiful. We were a stones throw from Funchal and everywhere else easily accessible with our hire car. A beautiful walking area amongst the banana palms and for the more adventurous further afield.
On our arrival Joanne and Oscar made us very welcome. Joanne met us,, showed us around, advised places to visit and eat and kept us in supply of bananas.
Bar and shopping facilities all nearby.
We would certainly return and would thoroughly recommend this accommodation

It was one of our most magnificent trip not only because Madeira is so beautifull but also that we could feel how it was on a real banana plantation! Host was great, there were always bananas prepared for us, our room was cleaned once a week and we could even use the terrace to have a grill and try a real Espetada :) We will come back for sure!
Remember that in order to have warm water you have to let the water run for a few minutes longer than you could think of. Then it works:)

A beautiful place, right next to a banana plantation... The house is nicely furnished, there is everything you need. The host served his organic bananas...
I recommend that You safe Your belongings, especially money, because where there are houses and where tourists are resting, there are also thefts from residential buildings(in the night). Keep money only on credit cards, have very little cash. Because we had unpleasant experiences... :(

super nice and helpful owner, at the begining he gave us bananas from his own plantation and avocados! also couple of sugestions where to drink and shopping, if i go to Madera one more time i would choose this spot again

The apartment is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by banana plantations and just a few other houses. There is a nice ocean view in the distance and there are bananas growing just outside the door. There is also a nice terrace with chairs and a table where you can chill. Cooking basics are available. Nice big shower. The host greeted us and gave us bananas from the plantation and a small madeira souvenir. There is also a washing machine in the common space available which was nice, but it's old and doesnt wash very well.
There was lots of dust on the furniture (the picture I attached shows dust on the table) as well as dust and hairs on the floor (picture attached), it seemed like the apartment hadn't been properly cleaned for a long time, that made us very uncomfortable. Small hairs in the bed linen as well. The frying pan is very old and the teflon coating has come off, so whatever you cook on it becomes stuck to it.
