The staff was nice and helpful. This was the one of the cheapest hotels we found in Madeira for our stay. The location is okay, with free parking available on the street with a bit of luck.
As it was one of the cheapest hotels we found, we got what we paid for. The building is quite old, the shower left a lot to be desired (faucet horrible, disgusting curtain), and the breakfast was just okay. Parking is either paid on the premises, or with luck free on the neighboring streets. During our stay, there was a big storm, and the windows made quite loud banging sounds.

We did like everything. Especially indoor swimming pool, breakfast. Very good conditions in this price. (We did know it’s 3* hotel and it’s why we didint expect facilities like in 5*. In that case like on 3* hotel it is very good)

The apartment was not cleaned. when I took an extra blanket to cover myself, a lot of sand fell on me on the bed and floor. In the room you could hear everything that was happening on the street as well as in the neighboring rooms.

Before the check in we were informed that it’s obligatory to check in online. On the reception desk we were forced to write the same info again on the paper. There was a big queue to settle in and the staff wasn’t not friendly enough and as a result it took more than 50 minutes to get access to the hotel room despite the fact that there was an early online check in. The room was poor with no soundproofing. It was a usual continental breakfast but so many people came the same time so that was uncomfortable. That would be a great idea to divide people into the time groups to avoid crowds.

Unlike the pictures the rooms are extremely outdated. Cleanliness is sometimes questionable, although the cleaning staff really do their best in making the rooms proper. The halls have broken windows and lots of spiderwebs. The value for money compared to a “better” hotel should’ve been considered. The facilities such as pools, bars are nice. The breakfast is okay with good selection. Paid parking is not always possible. We needed to park our car everyday down the hill and climb back up (with a baby).

For the price the hotel was great, good location can walk everywhere. Rooms were clean and reception area is nice. Staff were friendly
We didn’t receive Fresh towels on one day but can easily happen. Indoor pool could do with some renovations looked like the floor was coming up.

Nothing.
The hotel is really old, and the soundproofing is awful, making it really difficult to sleep. The rooms are small with small windows. When I arrived from dinner, the room had no power and I had to change to an even worse room. The doors don't close normally from the outside, therefore, people need to make a lot of strength to close, which is not nice at 6 or 7am... The shower is not well isolated and the water comes to the entire room.
