The staff at the hotel and the two men we were dealing with at the reception were very kind and helpful and were really trying to assist us with everything. The room was clean and as shown on pictures so did the pool on the rooftop. The location is perfect, especially if you need to take the early morning ferry to Porto Santo - its really just 5 min by foot from the hotel.
The room doesnt have any air conditioning or fan and even in the middle of the night was unbearably hot. We left the door to the balcony open in order to get at least some fresh air in but it didnt help at all, it got just noisy from the street sounds, and we basically couldnt sleep the whole night. This was the major minus for us.

It was close to restaurants and bars. Our flight was cancelled due to it being windy, we had to stay another night in Madeira.
I'm not sure if the price was hiked due to the fact most flights were cancelled that day. The price we paid we would not pay that if we were to book a holiday. The room was extremely hot, we asked for a fan, first fan did not work, the second did. Could not fault the staff they were very good. The bed was very comfortable. Overall it is in a nice area, but ok for one night.

A close second to sleeping at airport as flight was cancelled.
Overpriced, toilet cistern flowed all night. No remote. Grubby and mouldy bathroom.

big size room Once we visited Bernini Italian Restaurant. Very tasty food. Pool on the roof is great. Location (bus, Airbus, Hop-on stops; bars, cafe, parks etc.) in the small food store right near hotel You can get everything: water, eggs, vine, jam, fructs & vegetables, cheese etc.
we have ocean view balcony (room 208), but it was little noisy on night (with open balcony door)
