It was a nice stay at Residence 1898, the Hotel is located in the center, a 15 mins walk from the Central Train Station and the Palace of culture and science or 2 min walk from the tram station which can get you there in just 3 mins.
The room is spacious and got everything you need, from a nice big kitchen together with a big living room, nice big comfy bed and also a really nice big bathroom, it was a lot of space for one person and probably even 2. The staff were nice and helpful and there's also a laundry room which was useful.
With all of that I'm giving a score of 7 because of a few reasons, as some other reviews mentioned - 1. There's a serious sewerage smell coming from the bathroom which was unbearable, and 2. My room was connected to another room by a quite thin locked door so at times i could hear loudly what was going on at the next room.
Another thing was the really slow Elevator, waiting for the elevator and then going down/up from the 5 floor when you are on a hurry was sometime not so nice.
If those stuff are getting care of sometime in the future, it's definitely can be a 10/10 hotel, but as of now from my experience the score im giving is 7/10.

1) the staff - they were super sweet
2) the location - it is excellent if you need the Central train station
3) the availability of the bathtub
4) the beds - firm mattress
5) a lot of space in the apartment
6) heated floors
Overall, everything is a bit worn out - the furniture and floors have scratches, there is buildup on the shower walls and around the faucets in both shower and bathtub, the drying rack for the tableware was greasy.
There are no easily accessible power outlets in convenient places.
I really disliked the fact that there is a door (locked, of course, but still) to another apartment. I could hear everything that happened in there...

the rooms were spacious and the place was very clean.
Our apartment just had a bad smell upon entering but this was mentioned already to staff upon check out so hopefully this can be remedied as place is really nice.

Perfect location 10 minute walk or a short tram ride to central station. Beautiful room. Very helpful staff. Fantastic free washing machine and dryer which is brilliant for travelling. Very comfortable. I can’t wait to stay again!
A little hard to find the entrance it is round the back of the 1898 building and not well signposted.

Despite the very central location very calm and sizeable rooms. The Hotel is in walking distance to all central hotspots. Also, good transport connections around.
