I’m a little bit obsessed with historic Eastern European apartments — the high ceilings, the original wooden floors, the sense of history and understated grandeur — and this place captured all of that magic and more. The Mondrian Luxury Apartment I stayed in is one of the most thoughtfully refurbished spaces I’ve ever experienced. You can immediately tell how much care went into preserving the original structure while elevating it with tasteful, minimalist décor.
The bathroom feels almost opulent — elegant, serene, and beautifully designed. And the entire apartment is so inviting that I actually woke up early just to enjoy my morning coffee in the living room and take it all in before heading out for the day. It’s that special.
The location surprised me in the best way. Despite being right in Old Town, the square is much quieter than I expected — even on a Friday morning there was hardly any foot traffic and absolutely no noise. It feels wonderfully peaceful.
Alex, the host, is fantastic — solicitous, warm, and very clear in explaining how everything works. Be sure to save his WhatsApp number, as the apartment sits in a square where Uber isn’t allowed to enter directly, and he guides you perfectly to the right spot.
A small note for early risers: most nearby cafés open around 9 AM, but Costa Coffee is just a 6-minute walk away.
This place is a genuine gem — lovingly restored, elegant, and unforgettable.
The only thing I wasn’t happy about is the lack of early am coffee shops nearby. Not a dealbreaker- the apartment offers a Nespresso machine and pods.

Location was incredible. The apartment was in a 15th century building (rebuilt after the war) overlooking old town square. It was modern? spacious, clean, and had what we needed. Alex, our host, was fantastic.
It had a faint smell of cigarette smoke (this was unit 4), as if someone had smoked at some point in the unit. My partner couldn’t smell it, but I’m allergic to smoke and noticed it.
It wasn’t an issue for us, but this is not a place to stay if you have mobility issues. You need to walk about 900 feet on cobblestones to get to and from the taxi/uber drop off area as vehicles are not allowed in old town square. Also, this building does not have an elevator (because the historic section building code won’t allow it).

Needed more dish towels and more toilet paper. We had 1 small dish towel and one roll of toilet paper for a four night stay.

Beautiful apartment looking over the Old Town Square, which had Christmas markets at our time of visit. Super easy to get in contact with the host, who met us even though our flight was delayed. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of small added things we appreciated like a netflix account, charger to take out during the day for your phone, and a roaming option.
A microwave would have been nice, but it was a very small thing in an overall fantastic stay

We loved the fact that the building was a significant building in the square. The apartment was very roomy and comfortable, it was the perfect location and we wish we could have stayed longer. If we return, we will definitely stay here again and most definitely will be sending recommendations to anyone we know that will be visiting Warsaw. Communication also exceeded our expectation, the assistance we received from our host from greeting to exiting - superb customer service.
We could not find anything that we did not like or could fault about the apartment.

This apartment could not be in a better location right on a main square. While this might make some nervous the windows kept out all but the loudest sounds and overall it was quite peaceful. The apartment was well equipped and contained everything one could need and anything else could be purchased around the corner at the grocery store. The in suite laundry was well appreciated and the option to relax in the salon was welcome after spending many days in a hotel room. Our hostess was very friendly and checked in daily to see if we needed anything. There was even a back courtyard where my husband could enjoy his cigar in peace.
Being located in old Town taxis could not drop us off right at the door. Also, being right on the square we will have appeared in many tourist photos when we were looking out our window.

Exceptional Stay at MONDRIAN Luxury Suites
Our experience at MONDRIAN Luxury Suites was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we booked, our host Alex went above and beyond to ensure our stay would be seamless. Even before our arrival, he reached out with all the details we needed for a smooth check-in. Upon our arrival, he greeted us at the corner where our Uber dropped us off, assisting with our luggage and making us feel at home from the very start.
Once inside the apartment, Alex took the time to familiarize us with every feature—from the lights to the TV, kitchen, and even the washer/dryer. He also shared some fantastic local recommendations before leaving us to settle in.
The apartment itself is stunning, easily one of the best we’ve stayed in during our travels. Beautifully decorated with impeccable attention to detail, it was spotless and perfectly located. The view was breathtaking, and despite being in the heart of everything, it was quiet enough at night to sleep with the windows open—an absolute treat.
Our experience was so enjoyable that we’re already planning our return visit. On the day of our departure, Alex arrived a few minutes early to help with our luggage and ensure our Uber was sorted. We truly appreciated his warm hospitality and wish we had more time to get to know him better. He is not only a wonderful host but also a great ambassador for his city and the apartment.
