Breakfast is fabulous, bread and bakery home made are simply beyond any expectation, hotel is new, with brand new equipment, bathroom is clean, bar area is cosy, location is great - walking distance to old town and also to Bristol Cafe! Anything served in the hotel -e.g. I had a light lunch with a soup and also ordered some lemonades - is simply excellent and served and presented with great care. Attention to small details is much appreciated.
No slippers in the room (I brought mine, however having them in the room would be a plus for travellers), and in my personal view I would prefer not to have carpet throughout the room - it would give more confidence in cleanliness to have just parquet, or wooden floor or ceramics/stone tiles. But this is my personal opinion, maybe other guests would be happy with current offer. Also, in the cupboard, it would be more useful if the garments could be stored in way that you can easily see all of them. Currently, you put them one after another and it is difficult to take something from the back if you need. Single luggage rack is not sufficient for comfortable opening and handling your luggage - I asked for an extra luggage rack which was provided and the issue was sorted out quickly and to my satisfaction.
At breakfast, I preferred to have a regular capuccino from the bar, the coffee from the coffee machine was not really to my taste.
At the checkout, there was a small mishap / lack of coordination between staff in the kitchen, bar, reception for my extra order for a lunch to be prepared (sandwiches) with 1 l water for a specific time: sandwiches (fabulous with fabulous bread) were prepared, however no napkin and no water which apparently belonged to bar staff or reception staff for water. I had to spend time and individually request each of those items. It was resolved and involved more staff and people than necessary. I believe it was only a minor mishap in coordination albeit I was in a hurry to catch a train and did not appreciate it. Otherwise anything ordered, including lunch package, was very tasty and of excellent quality.

Breakfast buffet and a la carte (free) were plentiful with many choices. The room furniture was simple, but very practical.
Perfect location for easy access to museums, old town, Royal Castle.
There were a set of steps and no ramp at the main entrance, the latter would be most helpful for the elderly and disabled.
Only 1 chair in the bedroom and the windows could not be opened.

There good have been more storage in the rooms for clothes - not enough cupboards or shelves for 2 people. Had to keep clothes in suitcase. Only one armchair again no comfy chair for second person in room.
