It was perfect for our stay in Gdansk!! The location was great: Right inside the old town, but easy access to buses, Uber’s and taxis (but the access to old town was right there!) Clean room and kind approachable staff. Definitely good value for the lower price compared to some other hotels in Gdańsk. Would stay again!
Nothing to note, except that in very hot weather it could be less comfortable as there is no air conditioning—though this was not an issue for us. We had a street-facing room, which was lovely, but if you prefer quiet with windows open, it may be better to request an interior room. I personally chose the street view knowing I could sleep comfortably with the windows open, but that is ultimately a matter of preference.

Wonderful
This quaint, well-equipped hotel was literally at the apex historical Gdansk. It had an elevator, which is great, and breakfast was delicious in their adjoining restaurant.

Room was nice, comfy bed, clean. Liberum is based basically inside of the old town, so the location was perfect, especially for someone who stayed one night. Lovely welcome from receptionist.
Room was sprayed with refresher bit too much, smell was nice but too strong ;)

Near train station 12minutes walk.inside old town. Many restaurant, clock tower.everything accessible. Really value for money. Good heating system. Breakfast was decent. Highly reccommended

Great location just inside of the old town and a short walk to the train station. Plenty of options in the area for food and drinks. Friendly staff and room was comfortable and clean. Coffee machine in the small lobby - great for a quick afternoon pick me up.

Location
This was my third time staying at Liberum.
The first two trips were very good .
The last one not so much .
When I arrived I was (pleasantly at first ) informed that I was upgraded to a better room without asking.
That pleasantry quickly turned sour when I realized that this upgrade consisted of a smalller bathroom and just the addition of a small useless sofa .
I would rather have a bigger bathroom .
Exactly two minutes after seeing my new and “upgraded “ room I returned to the desk and said thanks but no thanks I want my original room ,the one I reserved.
I was told it was no longer available .
In the morning I realized what happened,the new room was facing construction (the facelift they’re giving the gate) the other room wasn’t I know that for a fact because I stayed in the other room the other two times and it faces the other side .
So what I suspect happened is someone who had that room complained and they gave him
My reserved room and called it an upgrade for me.
Here is the part why I’m leaving a one star review ,for this unsolicited upgrade I discovered they actually charged me extra.
When i compared the credit card charge to the one I reserved there was almost an extra 100 zloty difference .
I brought this up the morning of the check out and the person at the desk could not explain to me why I was charged almost an extra 100 PLN.
He did offer me and my spouse a free breakfast that was almost the same price ,but that’s not the point here .
To add insult I specifically asked to be called or emailed with an explanation ,which going on three weeks now of course was not provided .
So I will be staying somewhere next time ,it’s too bad because it really is a great location and hotel I just feel somehow ripped off .
