The location was excellent for my purposes.
The trams are very loud - the first night I had earplugs in and it wasn't so noticeable, but on the second I didn't and was woken up at 5.30am. Also, there was a lot of audible noise from the upstairs bathroom, presumably as it's an old building, and the ceilings/walls aren't very thick!

room was warm and well appointed. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was up to the usual high standard, plenty of choice and very tasty! Can't fault this hotel. The location is perfect, only five minutes walk tot he main square. Looking forward to our next stay.

The hotel boasts a superb location in the city center. It's over 100 years old and certainly needs some renovation, especially the windows, which allow in street noise. Nevertheless, the hotel is authentic, steeped in history, and exudes positive energy. It's always a pleasure to stay here, as it prepares you for a visit to old Krakow. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant, especially for lunch and dinner. Praise to the chef.
Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks, especially with breakfast. During peak hours, it's impossible to find a seat, the waiters, young women, are sluggish, the tables are littered with dirty dishes, and no one seems to be in a hurry to clear them. We stood for several minutes at a dirty table, trying to get someone's attention, but the women were engaged in animated conversation among themselves, and no one was in a hurry to approach us.

Excellent location,only a short walk to the city centre,room was large,well equipped,comfortable,with a good view.
The only fault I found was the coffee machine in the restaurant was very very slow.

I was delighted with my recent one-night stay at the Polonia Hotel (during my third visit to the magical city of Kraków), before continuing my onward rail journey to Vienna and Budapest. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was superb. I loved the furnishings, deco and old-fashioned style of the hotel, even to hear the trams trundling past during the night and I was able to take a ride on one of the last-surviving trams which operate on Line 52! I would certainly love to return to Kraków someday. Many thanks to everyone.
