The hotel is situated in a quiet spot in Krakw but within easy walking distance of the main square, Wawel castle and most popular places.
The hotel pillows were too soft and really need to be changed. Room 12 that was.

We've stayed in this hotel for years. It's a perfect location, we love the classically styled rooms, the large bathroom, and the private garden area for reading and drinking coffee. The breakfast is still very good, although it has been better with eggs made to order and crispy bacon. The receptionists are kind and welcoming and the waiter kept the buffet beautifully stocked. We hope to return and see Hotel Maltaska in it's glory again.
Since the pandemic, this hotel has gone down hill. The bathroom is not being maintained. The shower head is spraying off to the side and there is mold growing on the wall and in the grout. There is still a menu for drinks in the rooms, but no service. The night staff is kind, but couldn't answer questions. This charming hotel deserves the maintenance and love it used to receive.

Lovely little old palace by the park. Could do with some updating but if you like to be surrounded by Krakow historically it is perfect. Staff lovely and friendly. Big bedroom and bathroom. Plumbing all working fine. There is no restaurant in the hotel but the lovely Biala Roza is just across the carpark. Just 5 minutes across the park to the old town and castle.
Only minus was the internal phone system was not working so I could not get early morning wake up calls but the receptionist banged on my door on time instead! No convenience store closeby.

My single room (#11) was very small, however the bathroom was large and lovely. The windows were high so that i could not see the ground below, however there was a beautiful tree outside that i was able see. Very good location, walking distance to everything of interest, quiet. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was the same everyday--a good selection of breads, yogurt, juice, fruit, cereal, eggs, meat, cheese, tomatoes/vegetables, plus lots of choices of coffee and tea.
The only thing that i didn't like was that the room was smaller than i expected.

Superb location approx 5 minutes from Wawel castle, large room, lovely shower and comfy bed, coffee to go was very useful, nice sitting out area outside our room, extra pillows were in our room as requested, typical Polish hotel next to the park and Martin the manager was so helpful, couldnt have done more for us...
Thought maybe some sweetie type buns at breakfast would have been nice. Taxi from airport was approx 25, the return journey was approx 8 as we used Bolt...
