Disappointing
The location was easy to access, there was the parking included in the price, the room was comfortable although for a 5 star hotel I would expect it to be better equipped. The garden is wonderful there, and the staff was professional, trying to do all the best within the limits provided by the owner.
The breakfast was more in line with what one would expect from a mediocre 3-star hotel, rather than a higher category. For example there was no yogurt, or a selection of fresh fruits, which are usually standard in a 5-star offering. It gave the impression that the hotel was cutting costs everywhere. In the room, the minibar was empty, with only a note stating that a package of goods could be purchased at the reception. For a two-night stay, bottled water was provided only on the first day, which felt - well - strange. Overall, my impression of the hotel was mixed. One of the main reasons for choosing it was the advertised spa, but upon arrival I was informed that it was under reconstruction. This should have been clearly stated during the booking process, as it creates disappointment and feels misleading otherwise.
