Comfortable and clean rooms. Nice meal options. Pretty setting. Easy to set up tours. Nice pools. Fire dancing evening shows. Friendly staff. Quiet remote location.
Its an hour and half car ride to Puerto Princessa.

Family friend. My kid really enjoyed her stay. We stayed for 4 days, we did not go out at all which was a good move as we were able to really relax.

* The resort is very beautiful and well
maintained.
* The rooms are large, clean and beautiful.
* The staff is extremely kind and attentive.
* There are 3 clean and supervised swimming pools, as well as security everywhere - we felt safe.
* We had free access to the waterpark on 3 days, ideal for families with children also.
* The breakfast buffet (included) and dinner buffet (18€/person) were varied and tasty (Sunday was our favorite: BBQ night)
* Unlimited fresh water in the room daily.
* Possibility to play golf for free, gym and discounts on massage (very nice and recommended).
* Two free excursions, to a sandbar near the hotel and to a beach approx. 1h30
* Some evenings we received from the hotel free desserts in the room, a very sweet surprise
Special thanks to the managers, Ms. Annissa, Ms. Fritzie and Mr. Alberto who were very responsive to our requests and found solutions to all our wishes, to Carlo, wonderful service and even better company, he made us feel cared for in our days by the pool and to Juanito - Security - who does an amazing job, always with fresh energy, no matter if it’s day or night.
Best wishes,

Daily buffet breakfast menu varies everyday! Most of the dishes served are well prepared. I really love your fresh salad with the Palawan dressing mixed with a little balsemic & strawberry dressing. Though beach is unswimmable, the scenery is good! Our accommodation is senior friendly!
Though sand bar trip was provided, front beach activity-swimming will make the stay more enjoyable specially for kids. The number of pools in the resort may have provided enough swimming activity together with the Water park amenities.

Incredibly beautiful location, incredibly helpful and hard working staff who went out of their way to be polite, courteous and helpful. Amazing food and menu prepared by an obviously hard working & dedicated staff who must work 24.7 to accomodate the needs f the guests, a huge choice and offer of various activities and external sight seeing day trips. A six star resort at a 3-4 star price but with the addition of of always attentive staff who were polite, kind and went out of their way to treat the guests as valued guests. A special shout out to the kitchen staff and chef's who work tirelessly.
If i was being picky and pedantic - and i was..the only item that i could fault was a sign downstairs at "The Nest" accommodation that said "Staff's Lift" - Staff being a single or plural term which does not require an apostrophe or 's' - "Staff lift" would suffice. - Again, that was me looking for something to fault and that was the only thing that i could possibly fault.
Prices for food & beveridge's were a little expensive but not out of the ordinary for any resort and given the abundance of staff and the obvious running costs of the huge facility it was not extravagant.

The resort offers a truly remarkable experience. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The staff members are incredibly welcoming. Guests can enjoy a wide array of complimentary amenities, including washing and drying machines (with a self-service option and a charged service), a one-hour kayak rental, a one-hour island hopping excursion, a gym, a small golf field, numerous swimming pools, and a variety of restaurants. The food is delicious, with diverse options to suit most tastes. The breakfast is particularly delightful. The infinity pool is stunning and remains open until 10 p.m. Complimentary car parking is also available. Additional services and food items are reasonably priced and offer good value. There is a waterpark with one free entry, which, while not extensive, is enjoyable. A volleyball field is also available. Furthermore, the resort provides complimentary nightly shows. Overall, this was an exceptional stay with excellent value, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Perhaps an upgrade to the waterpark could be considered, even if it involved a fee.

Poor
This swimming pool
1-The beach is really dirty. There is dogs everywhere and dog waste. I couldn’t swim.
2-food options are limited not tasty and over expensive to what they are offering all oily tasteless food. They know that you don’t have restaurant next to you. This is why they serve bad food with high prices because they know that you don’t have options.

The rooms were great, bathroom AMAZING, staff was super friendly and helpful, food and massages at great prices.
It was super far from Puerto Princesa, so the tours weren't gonna be as easy as I thought, the 2 days I was there the power was constantly coming on and off.
the food was delicious, but there were NO Kid Friendly menus, something like a mini cheeseburger, or chicken with rice, or grilled cheese, or something. The food was great for us adults wanting to try new things, but if your kid isn't used to the local cuisine and there are no other accessible restaurants nearby, see the issue we might run into? There's a convenient store at the resort, but you cant expect a child with live off of ramen and chips throughout the stay. So, Astoria, please keep the menu in mind.
Also, the Waterpark was AMAZING, but I also thought the Waterpark was included in the stay, you only get one free visit. Then you have to pay 800 pesos per person. And there is no re-entry (I didn't know that) maybe they mentioned it in the check in but they bombard you with so much information.
In spite of everything, I wouldn't mind staying again.

Fair
There is no proper coordination of the staff, the front office in The Nest category check in are not attentive to their guests I have to follow up my requests.
When we arrived i have mentioned that I requested ahead of time the connecting room as were family and we have kids and senior, however Ervin keep answering me that next to each other room requested is given. ( i don’t know if he is aware the connecting/adjacent room and next to each other room is indeed different).
I understand that its not guarantee as there are maybe guest checked in. So the next day requested again as I realize that the adjacent to our room is available. I spoke with few front desk officer (The Nest) and explained again :( . The guy said he needs to check with Ervin who has checked in my 3 rooms or in reservation dept i told him you can allocate the room thats not the reservation responsibility ( i don’t understand why he cant do it and check again to other colleague?? When the room is clearly available.
So I waited Ervin to call me and he did and said I haven’t requested that and the next to each other room are given. Oh God!
Lot of talks happened which make me disappointed.
Why to make your guests run here and there and get annoyed before you guys actioned. When the solution is very easy and you make it hassle for us.
This is our first time in Astoria Palawan and sadly our last.
Thank you for your information!
