Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this resort. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The restaurant was excellent, the pool was amazing, and the spa was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. The atmosphere of the resort is very peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. There is also a very good fitness gym nearby, which was a great bonus for us. All the trips and activities organized through the hotel went perfectly and were very well arranged. Overall, we had a really great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Dumaguete/Dauin.
The only small issue was that the hot water heater in one of the bathrooms was not working perfectly, but honestly it was a very minor detail compared to how great everything else was.

The apartment was spacious and homey. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs, especially the service staff in the restaurant. Very lovely garden with a big swimming pool, the view of the sea from the balcony is quite stunning. I would like to go back and stay for a few more days.
If there is one thing I can add to make the apartment even more liveable, I would add a magnifying mirror for the ladies. A toilet kit complete with dental floss, cotton buds, a box of tissue paper and liquid soap for the sink. An overhead light inside the closets would also be helpful. Other than that, Pura Vida is my favorite place in Dauin.

The location is unbeatable - by the sea, private villa with private pool, a resort with spa, restaurant and bar next door. The rooms are just the right size, the master bedroom is big and the bathrooms are clean and lovely. The living room is very spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. There was free iced tea - delicious! The pool and the outdoor seating is just the right size.
The WiFi wasn't working from the moment we checked in, until 1 hour before we left. We were told that it was being troubledshooted but actually the router just needed a reset, which wasn't done until right before we checked out :( Apparently the staff working the day before wasn't the same or as efficient as the staff the next day. The lights in the pool didn't work and the hot tub jets weren't working. We still had an amazing time though!

very very friendly and helpful reception staff, wonderful team of utterly caring and charming ladies (and gents) at the reception; wonderful room, well furnished, wonderful pool, quiet and relaxing, nice food in the restaurant, great snacks and drinks at the pool bar next door (part of the complex), great diving, wonderful housekeeping team, comfy shop near by, the place made us feel like being at home away from home; we will definitely return! The beautiful apartment and grounds. The food and drinks that were varied
The fact that on check out the girl at reception wouldn’t believe me that I’d only had 3 bottles of water from the minibar. She said this had to be checked first. Which as I told her is frankly rude and disrespectful and distrustful! I told her I’m not a thief and always pay for what I use and never steal. Then after the mini bar was checked she kept giving me various amounts that I had to pay. I kept telling her I just want to know what I owe in total. She even tried to charge me for the overnight stay that I’d already paid in full on check in. Due to this untrusting nature it actually spoiled our stay and even though it’s a beautiful place we won’t be staying here again.

the front desk was not 24/7 fortunately the receptionist waited for us until we arrived which was late - around 10PM. miscommunication with regards to the free water - we were told that we have 1 liter of water free but it wasn't specified that it was the one in the pitcher and not the in the bottle.
