Very Good
The property was really pretty and made for nice photos; you can roam around and practically take a shot wherever you go. It’s far enough from the main city proper, so it’s quiet at night. The bed is comfortable and the room is quite big. When you’ve checked out and still want to roam around, you can leave your luggage at reception. Good food also from the adjacent resto.
It’s kinda dark in the room at night, and there was only one floor lamp. The room and the bathroom also wasn’t cleaned daily (maybe you need to ask them; we didn’t know), so our trash ended up quite full after our stay.

Wonderful
Room was exceptional for a bedspace. Ample room for storage and privacy + temperature is ok. Also the beds are comfy enough to stretch after a long day. Staff are accomodating and very responsive to requests :)
The sockets are loose.

Wonderful
Room is spacious even for a dorm type accomodation. Towels and sheets are fresh, while bath essentials are provided already in the shower area. Staff has been super accomodating and available 24/7.

Very Good
I like the industrial concept of the hostel. It feels homey and comfortable.
The sockets are all loose. Charging my device is challenging. ? Also I booked for a ground floor 8bed mix dorm, but I was assigned in the first floor.

Pleasant
I like the vintage look and feel of the Hostel. Even though it looks like that, the room were clean.
In my second night, the shower in my room lost water which was a bit inconvenient that I need to go outside my room and take a shower in the common area. I hope the management will check and fix this issue.

Very Good
The vibe of the place
No acoustics, so you could hear all the noise outside specially the motorcycles revving early hours after party

Our room was separated and the bathroom and shower was outside our room you to walk outside. They provide water but not even a plastic cup provided I pay 30,000 thousand pesos not even a single cup provided. I went across the street to buy 50 pieces of cup for my family. You cannot bring food from outside just because they have a restaurant of their own. From 1 to 10 rating I will rate flying fish hostel a 4. I am not happy of what I pay. Not recommended

Good
The light in the room I stayed was too dark for me. And also the showers are not that pressurized so I get a little water when I’m showering.

Fair
We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was excellent, and they served one of the best sangrias we've had. It reminded us of the sangria we enjoyed in Spain.
Our stay at Flying Fish Dumaguete was unfortunately not very comfortable. The room was quite dark, as there were only two main light sources. One in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. Even after turning on the bedside lamp, the room still felt dim, especially at night. Better lighting would make the space much more welcoming and comfortable.
The air conditioner was also very loud throughout the night, making it difficult to get quality sleep. On top of that, the water pressure in the bathroom was low, which made showering inconvenient.
Another major issue was the Wi-Fi. The connection inside the room was unstable and unreliable, so I had to work outside the room just to get a better signal. This was very inconvenient, especially for anyone who works remotely.
The reception staff was not very accommodating. Whenever we asked questions or raised concerns, they would often give short answers without making an effort to offer assistance. A more proactive and friendly approach would have made a big difference to our overall experience.
Unfortunately, we didn't sleep well during our two-night stay because of the noisy air conditioner and the overall discomfort. We only stayed because we had already planned to travel to Siquijor afterward, making it difficult to change our accommodation at the last minute.
Overall, while the location was convenient for our travel plans, the poor lighting, noisy air conditioner, low water pressure, unstable Wi-Fi, and lack of attentive customer service made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped. I would not recommend this property to travelers who work online unless the internet connection is improved.

The staff and the interns are very friendly and gave me the best hospitality. The environment is great, very aesthetic and I felt very well taken care of during my stay. Also I had an amazing dining experience at Palmitas Kitchen and Bar.
Everything was good.
