Such an incredible resort! We loved it so much that we extended our stay from 2 nights to 5 nights! This place has it all, from super comfy beds, clean rooms, awesome staff, amazing food, and a top-notch dive center right on the property. Seeing the ocean right from our bed (room 5 was the best!) was the cherry on top. Thank you Mike and team! We can't wait to visit again!
The internet could've been faster (Slower than we would have hoped) but it still worked.

Close to the beach, great snorkeling and diving areas. Staff are great and helpful.
The resort itself is great, but the beach has too many stray dogs and a noticeable amount of trash. It is also not very accessible by local transportation, as there is no Uber or Grab in the area and away from main street.While the office staff is very helpful with arranging transportation, they have no control over the drivers’ rates. Unfortunately, the drivers tend to overcharge—on different occasions, we were charged PHP 1,000, PHP 600, and PHP 400 for the same itinerary.

We stayed for 7 nights at Mikes, and did 11 dives with them around Dauin and at Apo Island. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome by the friendly and caring staff. The dive guides and boat crew were excellent, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience and didn't lift a finger. We dived with Raul who worked tirelessly to find interesting critters, and there was never really a dull moment. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and surroundings were well maintained with a nice pool. Food at Mikes was great and very good value, and service was excellent throughout. Bonus points for the sweet dogs that lived there! Right on the beach, and close to other restaurants in Dauin.
Water pressure in the shower wasn't amazing, especially post diving, and the wifi was sometimes slow.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were primarily there for scuba diving, and the boat crew and divemasters were excellent— knowledgeable, fun, and safety-focused, which helped us feel comfortable the entire time. We also enjoyed getting to know other divers; since the resort is small, it was easy to connect with other guests over breakfast, dinner, or by the pool in the afternoons. Breakfast was good, though the included "free" options were a bit limited so by the last day we wanted to order something on the full menu. The property itself was very clean, and the food was consistently good. You can tell the owner, Mike, really cares about his staff and the property. Overall, we had everything we needed on-site and rarely felt the need to leave the resort. It was a great experience and we’d happily return.

Pretty good location and food is quite affordable and delectable. Beach area is super clean.
1. No complimentary toiletries and slippers. No fridge in the room. 2. Lots of mosquitoes in the restaurant/al fresco dining area even at daytime. 3. The pool has a lot of floating insects. 4. All the staff were nice and approachable except one. The overnight staff/guard is very very ill-tempered and rude.

The dive center is very professional, focused on Muck diving & Macro which isn’t my favorite but for those who do, great place. The resort itself is nice with affluent vegetation, a nice swimming pool. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming.
The restaurant is good and reasonably priced, but wait time is a problem, up to 50mn waiting for our order. We booked the villa but regretted it a bit. The trade off is only one bathroom for 2 rooms for a coffee maker, a washing machine, a large kitchen and living room we had no use for since there is no where to shop for groceries nearby to cook. There was also a persistent smell in one of the rooms which was supposedly a new furniture… despite trying to address with the staff.. we lived thru a piss-line smell for a week.

Very Good
Mike’s Resort was such a nice place. Clean, comfortable, incredible staff. Being a brand new visitor there the Philippines, I would have liked to see more Filipino foods options on the menu. And this isn’t a negative necessarily but something to be aware of, they try to keep an extremely quiet atmosphere here. My friend’s family was there, and they asked that the kids not make any noise. So maybe don’t bring kids. This is more of a retirement home vibe.
