The breakfast was amazing and really suit to my Cebu food cravings especially my all time favorite puto with sticky creamy local chocolate (tablea). Although the transpo is not a big issue, but the location is not so accessible to the places that I’d like to visit around the city like churches and malls. Marco Polo’s location is perfect if you want to experience a peaceful,serene and relaxing stay.

The staff and the nurse was the kindest.
Did not know ahead of time that they were doing renovations. Paint smell in the halls and leaking AC return vent at the entrance of our room. Dust in the furniture.old electronics TV and even the tissue holder was from 1897.

This is our 2nd time we visited the hotel. We like the location
We met an arrogant receptionist at the front desk, Anthony, for check in. He booked for us 2 connected rooms with connecting door. Based on my earlier experiences I had with connecting doors I requested for two rooms separate from each other . He was clearly reluctant to book for us two different rooms. He stayed away for almost 15 minutes and ultimately he gave us 2 different rooms.
Then I asked him to book a same room for only the first night 1 extra room because friends would visit us. Then he immediately said that an extra same room was not available. Very strange, because he just canceled the connecting rooms. I checked on Booking.com and the same room was still available and I told him that so he was lying.
Then he moved away and we consulted his colleague and she confirmed the availability of an extra room for 1 night. She dealt with us in a professional way. This Anthony is a disgrace as a Businesd Card for the Hotel. The Client is King! He should work in administration.
Secondly when we arrived at the hotel, we noticed the hotel was under reconstruction.
We also don’t like that. Management should inform hotel guests upfront about construction activities

Hotel remains the best value for money in Cebu City

1. Toaster remained broken despite several complaints

The staffs are very kind and accomodating.
Breakfast was good, restaurant as well but not so much choices for room service.
Over all we enjoyed our stay and we we're satisfied ?
