It was 5 min walk from the beach
We arrived at 11 PM, and the room we had reserved was not ready, so they gave us another room, supposedly the main one. It was bigger, but the furniture was very old, and there wasn’t much difference from the other rooms. We were supposed to stay there for two nights until the room we had originally booked was cleaned.
On the day we wanted to move to the other room, it was still not ready—they hadn’t cleaned it yet—and they wanted us to wait until they finished. In the end, the owner kicked us out of the hotel and told us he didn’t want this kind of guest, asking us to leave immediately. They canceled the rest of our reservation and forced us to leave.
The owner was very aggressive, and we didn’t like the way we were treated. In the end, we found another hotel that was much nicer and better located!

Great beach bars and fish restaurant nearby.
The hotel is nestled away at the end of a very rough dirty road, hiding it away.
Very limited options in the hotel breakfast.

Proximity to the beach with an amazing sunset view at the beach. The room is spacious. Having the veranda is great for drying clothes and chilling at night. The staff are nice. It is a quiet area and just walking distance to station 1.

It is a nice hotel, which is located far from the noise, but close enough to reach station 1 by a nice walk on the beach. The wifi speed was very good, the rooms are big, we had a big terrace to relax on and the breakfast was quite convenient to start your morning. The staff is nice and helpful, with great recommendation for every question we had. Winston, Gia and Sky are the 3 cute dogs which filled our days with joy.

The AC was nice, complementary water (2 x small bottles). Dinibeach cafe and the beach are less than a minute walk away.
Old furnishings, no toiletries as advertised (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.), rusty and mouldy bathroom and rusty old safe (didn’t work), dusty ceiling fan (be warned: do not turn it on otherwise you will be eating dust and cob webs).
The doggies are cute, but the permeating dog smell throughout the hotel put me off from dining there or going to other parts of the hotel.
Towels were all stained and had to ask for new ones.

The hotel and location couldn't have been any better.
What caught my attention to booking the hotel were the reviews saying it was a quiet and peaceful area. Short walk to the beach.
Was exactly that and what I wanted.
Could even watch Netflix in the room when stormy weather and unable to do activities outdoors.
Nothing is perfect.
Found the boss lady extremely rude, ignorant, unprofessional, and arrogant. The complete opposite of modest and humble to be precise. She kept talking at me without giving me a chance to respond to her or speak at all.
Had no idea what she was saying half the time, but I was just trying to be polite.
Telling me her husband was Austrian and being told by other people her husband was Korean. I have no idea why she would lie completely unnecessarily.
Apparently, her dog was barking at me while I was eating my breakfast because it was sick, not at all, because it was begging me for food numerous times. And another dog jumping up on my lap on the other side while I'm trying to eat, while she was completely oblivious to it and obviously quite incapable of training or disciplining her dogs.
Reminded me of my old boss working at a
country estate and mansion in the UK.
Thought she was royalty and better than everyone else. Treated the staff and guests like peasants.

This was my second time at Sulu Sea, love the relaxed vibe, perfect quiet location right next to the beach, comfortable and clean rooms. The major plus is you’re away from the chaos of the white beach and right next to the beautiful Diniwid. Staff were great, always an available and polite. Recommend this hotel for a quiet getaway.

I like the homey and dog friendly atmosphere of this hotel.The room is tidy, smells good and surprisingly comfortable. Just perfect to keep you relaxed after a tiring travel. I didnt avail breakfast though. The beach is just a few minutes walk. What a joy to wake up in the morning and experience the privacy of Diniwid beach.
The street leading to the hotel is rough, narrow & uphill and the hotel signage is not so visible at night, good thing there is a waiting area for e-trike nearby wherein some helpful residents or probably barangay enforcers keep watch.

We LOVED our stay here! The room was surprisingly big, super clean, there was a fridge, water cooker, table with chairs, the bed was also really big and comfy, nice clean shower, they clean the room whenever you want with fresh new towels. The staff is really kind and helpful, they have three wonderful sweet dogs which made the stay even more fun. Breakfast is really good (we recommend the vegetable omelette!) and flexibel, many options, adjustments are possible. The stay is 70 meters away from one of our favorite beaches on the island; Diniwid beach which is ideal. Because it's like 10-15 minutes away from the 'centre' we rented a motorbike so we could explore the whole island by ourselves. We loved that the place was in a more quiet, less crowded area, everything was simply perfect, we really enjoyed our 9 nights stay here and we will definitely come back.
