The Overall grounds are awesome along with the pools and beach the entire staff was very helpful with a smile the clinic staff and doctor helped with an infection and were very caring buffet breakfast outstanding
My bed situation wasn't great for 2 adults and an 11 year old room set up could be better

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect balance of upscale luxury and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Our room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, although we did find the bed a bit firmer than our preference. Beyond that, the accommodations were excellent.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the shuttle services to and from town made exploring the area easy and convenient.
The dining options were fantastic. There was truly something for everyone, and as someone who is gluten-free, I greatly appreciated how accommodating the staff were with my dietary needs. The food was consistently excellent throughout our stay.
The pool area is beautiful, with multiple sections that provide plenty of space for guests, and the beach is large enough to feel spacious without being overwhelming. We also appreciated the presence of lifeguards at both the pool and beach, which added an extra level of comfort and safety.
The drinks were excellent as well—well-made and generously poured! While the hotel itself is positioned as a premium property, we found the food and beverage pricing to be quite reasonable, especially compared to other resort destinations.
One thing that stood out to us was the cleanliness. We arrived from another country after I had experienced some digestive issues during our travels, and I felt noticeably better almost immediately after arriving. The attention to cleanliness and food quality gave us a great deal of confidence throughout our stay.
Our only significant disappointment was that a large wedding took place during our visit. The event itself was beautiful, but it noticeably changed the atmosphere of the beach and common areas, making them feel crowded and less relaxing. We would have appreciated advance notice that such a large private event was scheduled, or some acknowledgment of the impact it. Plus...the beds were really hard.

We had a private dining moment as well with such a kind and caring staff (big thanks to William).
We did not expect to have that many weddings during our stay (5 days, 3 weddings) which were loud, with the wedding guests not respecting sleeping times, and for our last night even though we were in the Rima restaurant far away from the wedding reception, the music was so loud, we couldn't hear the restaurant music anymore.
We also noticed that some hotel guests were not very respectful and although the staff is very kind, they did not dare to ask clients to respect (children walking with their shoes all over the pool table for instance).
Finally, although the restaurants (Rima and Sirena) were very good, we felt that the dishes on the morning breakfast were too greasy and salty.
Otherwise it was delicious (fresh fruit and a lot of choice).

It’s private and the amenities are very good. All Staff are very efficient and helpful. They anticipate your needs. Rima and Sirena restaurants offered very good food! The resort is world-class and is comparable (or even better) to the resort we stayed in Nusa Dua in Bali.
None. Though the tiles on the hallways along the Seaview room can be better and should look cleaner.

The place is a bit far from the center, but they offer shuttles almost every hour of the day, going back and forth.

Breakfast was excellent and overflowing; Beach was clean and pool was superior.
I had an accident going to Station 2 at the uneven brick sidewalks of Balabag Wetland Park that caused me to tripped and hit my head hard, bruised my face, knee and right side of my body. I experienced throbbing headaches. I was given medical assistance by Shangri-la and made arrangements for me to have CT scan in far away 2 hour drive to the Asian Hospital in Kalibo and back to the hotel at 3AM, Jan 12, 2026 and I am grateful for the kind of service Shangri-la had accorded me. Thank you so much.
It would have been better if the 3 rooms I booked for the 7 of us were located near each other.
