Staff was wonderful, restaurant was incredible and rooms were clean and comfortable.
Location was not as expected. The entrance is on a run down street and not that close to the white beach. It was a 10 minute walk to the most crowded part of the beach. The main drag for eating and drinking is 8 minutes and that was great.

Lanterna Hotel Boracay is a hidden slice of paradise wrapped in calm, coziness, and charm.
If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat away from the noise but still close enough to feel the island energy, this is the place. The rooms are cozy, quiet, and designed for true relaxation—honestly felt like a sanctuary after long beach days.
The Italian cuisine? Bellissimo. Absolutely amazing. Every dish tasted like it was made with love, tradition, and a dash of island magic. The warm, amiable host made the experience even better—genuinely one of the kindest people you’ll meet on Boracay.
What truly sets Lanterna apart is the yoga studio terrace. Doing yoga with a gentle breeze, soft sunshine, and island sounds created the perfect balance of calm and rejuvenation. It’s one of those moments you remember long after leaving.
And let’s not forget the furry welcoming committee—friendly cats roaming around and Lucy the dog, who is the sweetest soul on the island. They make the place feel even more like home.
If you want peaceful vibes, amazing food, heartfelt hospitality, and a cozy place to recharge—Lanterna Hotel is perfection. Highly recommended.

Hotel Lanterna is a small and quiet hotel with just 8 rooms, making it a good choice for those seeking a more peaceful and personal experience. The absence of mass tourism here is noticeable, and the staff takes the time to treat each guest individually, which I appreciated.
The location is central, so everything you need is within walking distance, adding to the convenience of staying here.
The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated. My room had a small kitchenette with basic utensils, which could be useful for some guests. The balcony on the second floor was practical for drying swimwear and enjoying a bit of fresh air.
A standout feature is the hotel’s Italian restaurant, run by an Italian chef who also owns the hotel. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with authentic Italian dishes and is not overly crowded. Well-regarded among locals, the restaurant adds a charming touch to the hotel’s overall appeal.
One practical advantage of this hotel is its own generator. In Boracay, power outages are quite common and can sometimes last for hours—or even the entire night. For smaller hotels, having a backup power source isn’t always a given, so this is a significant plus. If you’re planning a stay on the island, it’s wise to choose a hotel with either a generator or a solar energy system to ensure uninterrupted comfort, especially during longer outages.
The hotel has a subtle Italian influence, which gives it a unique character. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay with good food, a central location, and the reliability of backup power, Hotel Lanterna is a solid choice.

Lovely place to stay in Boracay, away from the crowds! It looks like a little oasis in the middle of Boracay. Conveniently located between white beach and Bulabog, and it’s easy to reach both. The room is very big with a nice balcony into a green and dense garden! The restaurant is the best in town, and it has very nice options for breakfast also. Luigi is so nice that you really feel at home and the best chef in the island. We will stay here again when we come back to Boracay.

The food over everything. Such a great quality Italian Food is difficult to find even in Italy itself (forget that flag, I am Italian so I am allowed to say that)
There was a bit of confusion when we initially agreed on discounting me one night, then I was asked to pay it anyway.
The origin of the problem however was myself, as I was the one to book the wrong dates, so I cannot really complain.

Everything was amazing, the location, 2 minutes to one beach, 5 minutes to another, and this is walking. Clean, amazing scenery, and the staff was amazing. The restuarant had amazing food and the prices are great. Even the market was walking distance. This place is slept on since it's tucked away which makes it quiet.

I stayed in both the studio and the deluxe suite. I’ve had a positive experience as I extended my stay.
The view of the jungle is lovely. It’s quite peaceful and the location is very good- close to bulabog beach, walking distance to white beach and all amenities like ATM etc are nearby as well the main tourist counter for boat trips.
Breakfast is good- would be good if it was included in the price of the room but a good variety and good quality for Boracay.
Value for Boracay is also good especially for the location.
They are eco friendly and have accessible cold drinking water in glass bottles.
The water pressure and temperature were temperamental. Very common for the Philippines however.
Would be good to have the room lightly cleaned daily.

Perfect stay in Boracay. The hotel and room had a Mediterranean vibe, spacious and relaxing. The service from the restaurant was spot on and the manager was super helpful in sorting extras, including our plans during our time on the island. It’s a hidden gem and just a few minutes walk from the main beach, it was just what we needed.

The room was spacious and the hotel was well located.The staff were friendly and kindly organised a private transfer for our early flight.
The bathroom wasn't particularly clean and we had to ask for toilet roll, bin bags and clean towels throughout our 5 night stay. While Julie, the dog, was lovely, there was an unpleasant smell in the communal areas as a result of her presence. It was very difficult to sleep due to external noise and the Tangerine Room opened directly on to the restaurant. .
