Honestly, nothing. We deeply regret booking this stay — the photos were heavily edited and misleading. Everything from the room condition to the service and food was a massive letdown.
I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels and wellness resorts around the world, and I can confidently say: The Farm at San Benito is a complete disaster dressed up in eco-chic marketing.
Let’s start with the suite — $350 a night. I don’t mind paying that… if the experience even remotely reflects the price. Instead, what you get is a moldy-smelling, run-down room that feels like it hasn’t been updated in decades. Everything is old — creaky toilet, worn-out furniture, and fixtures that look like they were salvaged from a 90s provincial hospital.
There’s supposedly a turndown service. Not once did anyone show up.
There are no blackout curtains, so prepare to be blasted awake by daylight the moment the sun rises. Great if you enjoy being violently yanked out of sleep at 6am. Not so great if you’re expecting rest and relaxation.
Then come the cockroaches at night, crawling around like they also paid $350 for a suite.
The service is almost nonexistent. It took two hours to get an ice box, and when we ordered two San Pellegrino waters, one came completely flat — not a bubble in sight. We had to explain to the staff what carbonation is. That’s the level of attentiveness you’re working with.
And don’t expect to be saved by the food. The restaurant is a joke. Bland, uninspired, and somehow manages to make “wellness cuisine” feel like punishment. You’d get more flavor chewing grass from the garden.
The massage? Priced like a 5-star spa in Beverly Hills, yet you’re in the middle of a nowhere rural area where the average salary is under $100/month. The price of one massage could literally feed a local family for months. The disconnect is offensive.
There is not a single redeeming quality about this place. It’s a sham wellness retreat built on over-edited photos and deceptive marketing. They prey on people who don’t know better — or didn’t check the reviews in time (like me).
Save your money. Go anywhere else. Never, ever again.

Serene, relaxing environment; clean air and refreshing atmosphere.
I enjoyed watching the peacocks roaming freely. Loved the herb garden. I asked one of the staff if herbs are for sale but she didn't come back for a reply.
I booked a room with 2 single beds but we were given a room with adjoining beds.
No hand towels in the room.

Pleasant
This hotel is an exceptional retreat that seamlessly blends luxury with nature. The property is absolutely stunning, with lush, well-manicured grounds. The pools are pristine and inviting, perfect for relaxation, while the restaurants offer a good culinary experience. Every facility, from the wellness centers to the spa and fitness areas, is maintained to the highest standards, ensuring a world-class experience.
While The Farm at San Benito offers stunning grounds and top-tier facilities, our experience with the accommodation was disappointing, especially considering the hotel's standard and price. Our room (Anahaw Room 25) was in noticeable need of maintenance, with walls that required a fresh coat of paint and towels that were old, frayed, and even had holes in them. The bathroom was particularly concerning, as it had visible mold, lacked proper ventilation, and had an unpleasant sewerage odor that permeated the whole space. Though the staff provided a humidifier with fragrance to mask the smell, it was merely a temporary fix rather than a solution.
Additionally, the in-room amenities were lacking. The complimentary tea and coffee selection was sparse, requiring us to call facilities just to request more tea and sugar. Overall, the room felt neglected and far from the luxurious standards the resort is known for. It’s evident that this area of the property has seen better days, and a thorough refurbishment is needed to align our accommodation with the excellence of the rest of the resort.

Good
The singer was excellent. The upgrade was a very nice touch. The place is relaxing, picturesque. Service at the restaurants by this tall, lanky smiling fellow, works at Pesque was excellent.
House cleaning was almost pathetic, late and a bit stingy on the amenities. No face towel, no shower gel. We have to pay for the coffee, water was not refilled. Check in was abysmal, slow, no staff, water served was not cold.

Disappointing
The rooms are extremely outdated and rundown. Any requests were met with a no answer. We were upgraded to a huge villa after numerous complaints, however it took a lot of negotiation. They try to make money on everything. Not a 5star and is meant for Manila residents to come for a couple of days. Nothing for international travelera

Exceptional
The lush greenery, the wonderful layout of the property and the spa treatments.
The overall service quality needs to be upgraded to be a true 5-star experience. We found the staff to be overwhelmed at times, and some of the basic food options were not available.
