The room is really comfortable, and the atmosphere super chill. Chamo, Anita and Jacqui are super friendly and funny. I had great time here, and my experience in Arequipa is completed knowing them :)

The hostel is close enough to the center of Arequipa. The staff let me eat on the couch on the 2nd floor covered patio, at 7pm, just before my ride to the bus station. The shared kitchen is well equipped.
We you enter the hostel, you have to walk past a parked car in a garage. The entrance to my room opened into the garage. There were cigarette butts in an ashtray on a cabinet on the 2nd floor patio but nobody was smoking when I was present. The stove is gas. I have an electric stove a home. Somebody lit it with a match for me so I could cut up and cook a sweet potato.

Loved my stay here. The kindest most welcoming hosts I have ever experienced in a hostel! Very helpful with everything I needed, such as leaving my bags overnight when I went to Colca Canyon. Lovely rooms. Would highly recommend!
It is about a 25min walk from town which did mean I got rained on a few times.

Chamo and his wife, Anita, were wonderful hosts, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived (early), to the moment we left. Frequently they offered us cups of tea and snacks!
The hostel was a little distance from the historical central plaza, about 30 minutes walk, but there were nearby, frequent buses for 1 sol each way. Being away from the centre ensured the hostel was mainly quiet.
Nearby was a good sized market for fruit, veg, meat etc and a large supermarket just 15 minutes walk away. There was excellent Internet connection throughout. Laundry service was provided at a low price.
The hostel had a lovely open (covered) roof terrace where the kitchen and eating areas were located. The kitchen was basic, just a 4 ring gas hob, but plenty of pots and pans for cooking. There was also a fridge/freezer for storing food. Although down to the guests to keep clean, the owners ensured it was never messy.
Our room was a good size with storage shelves. The bed was comfortable and had 1 bedside lamp.
The bathroom size was adequate, and the shower was hot in the afternoon and evening (not so warm in the morning, due to it being heated by the sun).
The kitchen cooking area was quite small, making it difficult to prepare food and cook if other guests were using the area at the same time (there was a dining table available for preparation if no-one was eating at the time).
We would have liked some hooks in the bathroom for the towels.

We booked a room with private bathroom and stayed in total 4 nights. The room was clean and we were able to take hot showers. There’s also a nice shared area (terrace) were you can relax and watch the humming birds :)
Chamo and Anita were super friendly and welcoming, that’s also why we ended up coming back to their place for the second time :)) they really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. We’re really thankful for the great time we spent there and miss that welcoming atmosphere! Thank you so much Chamo and Anita ?

The staff and facilities were great. The room was comfortable.
The location is a bit far away from the city center, bit there is a bus for 2soles that take you near to the center.
A suggestion was to change the room curtains for blackouts to give more privacy.

Chamo's place was definitely our most favourite place on our whole trip. It felt like our home away from home. Mostly because the hosts (Chamo and Anita) were so lovely and kind. They helped us with organising transport and gave us lots of tips. We enjoyed our conversations together and practiced our Spanish. We even went together tot the market place to have a lovely lunch.
The place has everything you need: clean and well-priced rooms, a proper kitchen, a nice and sociable communal space, hot showers, etc.
Dear Anita and Chamo, thank you so much for the warm welcome! If you are ever in Belgium, let us know!

The place is very beautiful with a good vibe. The owners Chamo and Anita are very lovely and helpful. The distance to the city its not long, like a 15min walk. The bed was very good and comfortable. There is a little kitchen which is well equiped. Its clean.
